Game works like a charm
Free game it has a low size. You can check if it works on GNU by yourself
The game runs just like how it does on Windows. Make sure to use the "-nolauncher" launch option or the game won't launch.
DXVK_FRAME_RATE=90 gamemoderun mangohud %command% -nolauncher -noSplash -skipIntro -world=empty -hugepages
The game doesn't use my hardware to it's full potential, so I get around 40-70 FPS. Without that bottleneck, I'd be getting approx 90-150 FPS. Increasing the graphics settings and/or resolution scale gets rid of that bottleneck without any performance loss. This is also a problem in Windows.
The game doesn't launch until you put the "-nolauncher" launch option. Even when using https://github.com/muttleyxd/arma3-unix-launcher .
Multiplayer works fine. No issues whatsoever.
Good Linux Port Runs Outta the Box
Textures becoming dark from the tops of buildings but it kinda adds to the sureal feeling of the game
VERY good free game you should try it
gamemoderun gamescope -ef -w 1920 -h 1080 -r 180 --hdr-enabled --mangoapp --adaptive-sync %command% --skip-launcher --vulkan
Runs at 72-124 FPS in interiors, 50-56 FPS outside, 1080p DLAA, high-ultra settings, VRAM bottlenecked.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
The game doesn't use all of my system's resources so it can't reach my monitor's refresh rate of 180 so I forced 400% (8K) render resolution to solve that issue and it gets me the same FPS as before.
Also, there's this one slowdown that happens a few minutes after you load into the game, it tanks your FPS down to 5 for less than a minute. It only happens once per launch of the game.
Works really great.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Stuttering at the start of the game. The stuttering stops around a minute after I boot in so it isn't really an issue.
Works really well.
The audio was slightly crackling occansionally.
Played on a Valve Index.
gamemoderun gamescope -f -w 3840 -h 2160 -r 180 --adaptive-sync --mangoapp --force-grab-cursor %command%
If you can spare some GPU power, I'd recommend using supersampling to help get rid of the jaggies. Makes the image look noticabily better.
ENABLE_VKBASALT=1 %command%
48 FPS, medium-high settings, TAA high, AMD FidelityFX CAS via vkbasalt to deblur that TAA
gamemoderun %command%
Occassional stuttering that wasn't there on Windows but it's managable
CS2 soviet russia good soviet game
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Pairing this game with ProtonGE tanked the frame-rate down to a stuttery 40-60. Changing it to Proton Experimental increases to a smooth 70-120
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Runs at 120fps high settings with DLSS on quality with https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/14726 (DLSS FG to FSR 3.0 FG Mod) There was some stuttering, but that was due to my VRAM maxing out. Overall a really good experience.
gamemoderun %command%
Great game. Would recommend if you like a great story
Didn't work. VRAM error.
I remember getting an error like that on WIndows 10 a few years ago and I solved it by just searching up an answer and it fixed it but because literally ALL of the answers I got are for Windows 10 there seems to be no way to play this on my 4GB Graphics Card.
Works Out of The Box
Alt tabbing dont work
Pretty fun game runs outta the box
This game is FUN but has its issues on proton a native port would be nice
Lights turning off and on depending on how close you are (NOT VIEW DISTANCE)
Alt Tabbing crashes the game sometimes
alot of stuttering in the lone wolf missions and multiplayer (100% pre-loaded vulkan shaders)
stuttering and lower performance (40 fps from 60 fps compared to single player)
stuttering but pretty playable
Stuttering here and there (40 - 60 fps max settings SSGI enabled) but it ran faster than it did when I was on Windows 10 which is a bonus
gamemoderun mangohud gamescope -ef -w 1920 -h 1080 -r 180 --hdr-enabled --adaptive-sync %command%
90-130 FPS high settings DLSS Quality, FSR 3.1 Frame Generation.
Dualsense controller works, just disable Steam Input, but the vibrations are weak and you have to plug your headphones in the auxiliary port of the controller instead of your monitor or a DAC. So I'd recommend just sticking to Steam Input and translating your controller to Xinput.
And half of the controller icons are low-resolution, might have something to do with the SteamDeck=1 setting.
Also, if you're using an unlicensed copy like I am, following this will fix the startup crash: https://www.reddit.com/r/LinuxCrackSupport/comments/1fkt1i2/god_of_war_ragnar%C3%B6k_black_screen_and_crash/
SteamDeck=1 gamemoderun %command%
Using Proton on this game for some reason doesn't work, for some reason so I wasn't able to play with mods or Reshade.
Use SteamDeck=1 for the Steam Deck UI.
It works perfectly with my Valve Index. I used Plasma Wayland to play it.
The game hangs on initial load
It's a free game so try it out and see if it works on your hardware/software
The peformance of the game wasn't really that smooth. My hardware should be able to run this game well.
I played on a Valve Index at 90hz.
Doesn't seem work on NVIDIA hardware.
It worked on my Steam Deck, but not on my desktop.
I've tried GE-Proton, Proton Experimental, Proton 9, my own compiled Proton-tkg, the enable nvidia api line variable in the launch options, proton hide nvidia gpu launch option, SteamDeck=1 launch option, launching the game directly the executable using wine and proton (Running it with wine gave me an error relating to the GPU, but it didn't launch).
gamemoderun mangohud gamescope -f -w 1920 -h 1080 -r 180 --hdr-enabled --adaptive-sync --mangoapp --force-grab-cursor %command%
I fixed it by restarting Steam. For some reason after installing Jusant, my Steam wasn't able to launch any games. Everything is working fine, my DualSense controller, DLSS/DLAA, NVIDIA Reflex, HDR, etc.
Runs out of the box
Alt Tabbing breaks this game like every other game
Lower FPS than it was on Windows which was odd (40 - 50 fps)
It's playable and thats all I want
In the first mission (ME1) some dude had no gun in his hand (Forgot their name) pretty minor though
bad frametime?
Very low FPS (40 - 50) although my hardware is above the recommended requirements
Stuttering alot
The game only peformed well during dialogs but that's just it
Runs perfectly outta the box.
Slight crackling here and there but it's WAY less than other games i've played and thats not an exaggeration
I couldn't load my save from the time I used to use Windows. But I was only 3 hours into the game including cutscenes so I just skipped all of them and progressed the story.
I was surpised that the Rockstar Launcher worked on Linux with the Social Club overlay and all that. I'm not sure if it's a native port of the Rockstar Launcher or if it's running via Proton but I ain't complaining because it works.
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="d3dcompiler_47=n;dxgi,winmm=n,b" gamemoderun mangohud %command%
60-80 FPS, max settings, 150% rendering resolution (1440p). I used Lyalls' MetaphorFix mod to skip the intros and force controller buttons to be on https://github.com/Lyall/MetaphorFix I also used https://github.com/kevinlekiller/reshade-steam-proton to use reshade to inject SMAA and AMD FidelityFX CAS to get rid of the jaggies and to make the image nice and sharp (CAS makes a HUGE difference, you should try it out)
gamemoderun mangohud gamescope -ef -W 1920 -H 1080 -r 120 --hdr-enabled --force-grab-cursor %command%
I used this guide to significantly reduce NVIDIA DLSS Ghosting: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3142975110
The game crashes with NVIDIA HairWorks enabled.
Runs at 60 fps+ at Max settings (incl. Ray Tracing), DLSS Quality, VRS x2. Overall a very enjoyable experience.
pretty fun game
Alt-Tab crashes the game (SOMETIMES) dunno why but yeah thats all ive got to complain
gamemoderun gamescope -f -w 1920 -h 1080 -r 120 --hdr-enabled --adaptive-sync --mangoapp --force-grab-cursor %command%
Runs at a variable 60 FPS, Ultra Settings Preset, DLAA Anti-aliasing.
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dsound=n,b" gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Added this to the Engine.ini file to get rid of the blurry UE4 TAA and replace it with FXAA, and disable motion blur as it looks BAD in this game:
[/Script/Engine.RendererSettings] r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing=1 r.TemporalAA.Upsampling=0 r.PostProcessAAQuality=6 r.AntialiasingMethod=1 foliage.DitheredLOD=0 r.FXAA.Quality=5
[SystemSettings] r.MotionBlurQuality=0
60-90 FPS, max settings, raytraced reflections off, 4K (downsampled to 1080p to get rid of the jaggies, dithering artefacts, and everything else that was previously blurred by TAA). Played with Lyalls' P3RFix https://github.com/Lyall/P3RFix/
probably due to the stuttering
crashes 1/2 times
input delay
Stuttering every 1 second. Using ProtonGE changed that to 3 and upped the frame rate from 50 to 60,
I usually play this game on my school laptop running Arch Linux and it runs perfectly with little stuttering but on my gaming laptop it's a completely different story.
Stuttery mess. I couldnt even load into Los Suenos Police Headquarters which is the bloody place you start at
Stuttering. Shaders did NOT proccess at the start which is weird
Game stopped working after the tutorial
I tried GE Proton I tried Hotfix I tried Proton 7 I tried experimental nothing worked. I'm just waiting till Valve or Void makes an update to their software to make this runnable
DXVK_ASYNC=1 gamemoderun gamescope -f -w 1920 -h 1080 -r 180 --hdr-enabled --mangoapp --adaptive-sync %command%
When using gamescope, the 75% of the screen is black. I fixed this by just restarting the game a couple of times.
The game is stutters occansionally. Most likely due to it using Unreal Engine 5 which is known for having stutters.
50-70 FPS, 1080p DLSS quality, max settings, low shadows, low shader quality, Ray-tracing enabled.
Works good. Saves from the Windows version transfered over to here.
Farm no sleep. sleep can wait farm cannot
Didn't work at ALL.
I tried using ProtonGE and older versions of Proton. Still, it didn't work and since I brought it through Humble Bundle I can't refund it which is a bummer but at least this game thought me not to buy games from Humble if you use Linux.
Works out of the Box
No problems connecting to Windows players
Runs perfectly
Works good out of the box. Workshop mods too.
I got the same if not better performance than I did when I played this game last year on Windows 10. Ran at a stable 30-60fps avg 40fps. I would recommend a performance mod expecially if your PC specs are last gen like mine.
Works. Even got mods working using Vortex via a Lutris install script
It's a decade and a half year old game what do you expect
ENABLE_VKBASALT=1 %command%
60 FPS, SMAA+FidelityFX CAS via vkbasalt+MSAA 2x, default settings (medium-high)
It ran like 2x better than it did on Windows
I ran it on Ultra Settings and it ran at a perfect 60
gamemoderun gamescope -f -w 1920 -h 1080 -r 180 --hdr-enabled --mangoapp --adaptive-sync --mangoapp --force-grab-cursor %command%
When a scene loads in, the audio takes a few seconds to start playing.
With ray-tracing enabled, the flashlight's light makes everything lit by it look grainy. Most likely not an issue with Proton, but instead this game's denoising not working well with the flashlight.
When a scene loads in, the assets take a few seconds to fully load in. Funnily enough, this was an issue with God of War Ragnarok on PC.
My DualSense controller didn't work with this game for some reason, so I had to use Steam Input to translate it into an Xbox controller. I tried fixing this by changing my Proton version to ProtonGE and restarting Steam, but to no avail.
There was some occansional stutters (I've only counted 2 in my 2 hour session to be exact). Probably due to the game using Unreal Engine 5.
DLSS and DLAA don't work without TAA/FXAA enabled. Which is odd as they both come with their own anti-aliasing methods which are objectively superior to TAA and FXAA as they don't blur the whole image or look bad in motion.
FSR 3.1 Upscaling also doesn't work without TAA/FXAA enabled also.
FSR 3.1 Frame Generation also didn't work.
Runs at 48 FPS (locked it to that due to personal preferance) with high-ultra settings (used the benchmark to automatically set those settings) DLSS quality, max raytracing.
It's a 2D game. What do you expect for it not to run?
Runs at a stable 60fps on my 60hz laptop screen. Would really recommend it due to it only being like 5 Australian Dollars.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
In the main menu, the game runs at 1-5 FPS. GE Proton fixes this.
Stutters for a second when that red aura mist thing is on screen.
Runs at 120-180 FPS at max settings, DLSS Quality.
Also, to get rid of that disgusting looking sharpening filter whilst using upscaling, disable your upscaler, go into settings, turn off Sharpening, then re-enable your upscaler. For some reason, the game locks you out of that setting when you have upscaling enabled.
Works completely out of the box.
When moving the DI thing the Aim thing also moves with it aswell. Same vice versa.
Stuttering when a preview move is first loaded. It ain't a big problem though 'cuz this game is turn-based.
Was able to play with Windows users completely perfectly.
It's a 2D game and those run very good via Proton and Native so you can expect a good gaming experience playing this.
