No issues here
It doesnt keep the screen from going to sleep when using controller, so fades out and have to move mouse. This is probably not just the game's fault
"Failed to load the anti-cheat module."
FATAL ERROR: Failed to connect with local Steam Client process!
Doesn't start with Proton 5.13-2 for me at least. Kinda sucks, cause native client has this bug which makes that client also unplayable for me.
Enjoyable, as long as you save often, and remember that it crashes if you wanna focus another window.
High chance of crashing game when focusing on another window, at least when playing in fullscreen.
Failed to initialize graphics.
Failed to initialize graphics. Make sure you have DirectX 11 installed, have up to date drivers for your graphics card and have not disabled 3D acceleration in display settings. InitializeEngineGraphics failed
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=90 gamemoderun %command% --launcher-skip -skipStartScreen
Runs pretty well with the upscaling settings in-game,
DXVK_ASYNC=1 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 VKD3D_CONFIG=dxr11 gamemoderun %command% --launcher-skip --intro-skip -skipStartScreen
Regaining window focus, causes the game to freeze and crash most of the times
After entering and exiting different menus (like map and character), performence drops to everything from 15-5fps.
Exiting and opening the game fixes the slowness, though due to the long intro cutscenes, it gets pretty annoying after a while.
Gives error about EAC
Can open, but does not reach initial menu.
Works when it works, with both mouse and controller. Hourly crashing is a bummer, but will hopefully be fixed soon.
Every hour or so, the game lags my whole system into a near halt. Have to reboot to use computer again.
Might have been my graphics driver causing crashes earlier. Hasn't crashed since then.
gamemoderun %command% --no-launcher
Crashed one time, probably due to windowing error or NVidia drivers, but has been great besides that
Works great with Proton7 with or without GE >=24
Crashes when joining game, both local and multiplayer.
Online doesn't start
Crashes after loading GTA Online. Story mode works fine
Very minor graphical artifacts. Runs well
- Some t-posing sprites and artifacts appear in wheel smoke if present in front of you while driving.
- Nearby car lights visible through hills, other cars and other obstructions. Isn't distracting and the game is 100% playable.
Not too often, but annoying enough.
The crashes are very annoying. Only once every hour or so, but enough to set you back about 5 minutes each time, 10 minutes if you include reclaiming the progress.
Everything works, except speech recognition which is not required
Steam input toggle didn't help. Steam recognizes it, game doesn't.
Any Proton version 6 - 7 didn't fix the controller not being recognized by the game, which is weird 'cause I'm pretty sure it worked with 6.21-GE earlier.
Works well. If you face controller issues, try to wait until game fully started before plugging it in.
Had to plug in my controller after the game had completely started, otherwise replugging it wouldn't help.
Frames were very stuttery. Not a performance issue though, as frames were shown fast, just mixed and jumpy.
I tried to fix this by changing to different proton versions, also tried Proton7 and 5 (non-GE). Seems to happen with all Proton versions. The native one does not start at all.
Their "EQU8" anti-cheat claims a security product is conflicting with it
Will not start at all.
