Whenever the game is set to listen to your microphone, the audio output quality is severely worsened. Without the SteamDeck=1 %command%, this happens when you load into a map and with it, when you load into the main lobby (and maps)
No launch options are required, but the steamdeck launch option fixes an issue with the microphone not working in the lobby. There is strong audio degredation when the game opens itself to hear the microphone.

I had to disable steam overlay in order to fix the severe frame rate issues I was having.
Non-Linux-specific: deleted save file to fix crashing at loadscreen; turned off eye adaptation to fix 'deep fried' graphics.

For some reason I wasn't able to connect to lobbies. Using SteamDeck=1 as launch option fixed this for me.

Works fine with normal experimental but wayland (hyprland) had issues with getting it in full screen, i added WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1
and this fixed the fullscreen issue.
other than that everything works fine, audio in/out put, keyboard, mouse, graphics etc all work just fine with proton experimental

The game runs just fine in experamental, literally everything works (aside from the known voice recognition issues) except for when you get into a multi person game. With the SteamDeck=1 start up command you can hear players just fine and they can hear you (the current microphone input bar lights up). I am using Pulse Audio selection as microphone but selecting the microphone directly also works. The problem is when I got in a game, I could not hear other players (unless they were speaking through the walky talkie), and they could not hear me (neither pulse audio microphone or the direct microphone selection would be registered. I had the pulse audio application pulled up to verify the microphone was still working and the app was registering it meaning the microphone was working). The game still played just fine and when the round ended and we went back to the main lobby, I could hear the other players again and they could hear me again (and the microphone input registered as well). I have heard the opposite problem from people that you can not hear in the lobby but can in the actual game, but in my case I can only speak and hear in the lobby and not in the game/ maps. Other proton versions did not change the outcome.

SteamDeck=1 %command%
The SteamDeck=1 option is required for voice chat to work. With that option set however, the game works perfectly now.

If you don't mind a couple issues it's fine
Mic input doesn't work in the lobby.

Works great, no tinkering needed
I'm not certain if this is a bug from the latest game update or with proton but occasionally when the ghost does a "ghost event" the ghost does not appear.

freezing on loading into a mission freezing opening the door to the house
the biggest issue is the freezing on map load, door opening and if you change any settings it freezes for at least 15 to 20 seconds before it runs normally again.
it's playable but not smooth at all the issues I came across through the different versions of proton I used not just GE-Proton didn't make for an enjoyable experience.

If you don't mind the inconvenience of restarting the game it is still fun. Kinetic Games simply needs to optimize their Unity level loading

Like most, lobby audio not working, in map is fine.
Have to use hotkeys to get window to properly fullscreen, it opens in a weird spot.
After about 3 or 4 map loads the framerate becomes incredibly unstable. Resolved by restarting client every 3-4 map loads.
After about 3 or 4 map loads the framerate becomes incredibly unstable. Resolved by restarting client every 3-4 map loads.
If Kinetic properly disposed of and reloaded levels when returning to the lobby this likely wouldn't be an issue. You can watch the memory usage climb with each map load.

Voice chat is broken in lobbies and speech recognition (Vosk) is currently broken out of the box but can be fixed by using Proton-GE which implements Vosk integration
If you want for speech recognition to work correctly, use Proton-GE instead to play as it uses Vosk's API and I was able to speak to the ghost using the spirit box.

Runs out of the box. Apparently, voice chat works once you add the launch commands

SteamDeck=1 %command%
Need to add launch option to get voice chat working in the game (for both speaking and hearing).
Running with a 9070 XT where the games runs well with the latest drivers. WIth the launch command added, the game ran just like it did on Windows. I also installed vosk-api as suggested by other users for the in-game voice recognition, but I haven't tested that out yet as my friends are usually the ones who posses the spirit box or ouija board.

SteamDeck=1 %command%
Steam launch command above seemed to have fixed the issue of people not hearing you in the pre-game lobby, or maybe an update patched that. Ran into no issues!

SteamDeck=1 %command%
Voice chat works, but your friends won't properly hear what you are saying when you switch maps AT ANY POINT, it can be fixed by going into settings and changing the input microphone there. However you have to do that for each and every time you switch maps, doesn't matter if it is an actual game map or the lobby.
Apparently the launch option I have put in, according to other people, actually applies Steam Deck specific patches that makes the game work better, I have not tried the game without the launch option, but suffice to say, it appears to do its job decently enough. Aside from what was described above, I had a fun time with my friends!

Works out of the box, no in game voice in game lobby
In game voice chat does not appear to work for me in the lobby, although it works just fine once the match has started.
I had a 4.6 hour session on Saturday. The game seemed to run great with the only issue of note for myself being the in game voice chat doesn't work while I'm in the game lobby. Once the match started everything was working just fine. Fortunately for me, I was playing with a group of real life friends and I was able to let them know what was going on. It was a relatively short session over all, so I'm sure there will be more testing to do, but it is certainly looking good thus far. I haven't attempted to find a fix for the in game voice just yet.

Game is working completely fine as long as you're loaded in a map. Proximity Voicechat works there as well, just not in the lobby.
SteamDeck=1 %command%
Proximity Voicechat doesn't work in the Lobby. ProtonGE is mandatory for Voice Recognition to work.
Playable without ProtonGE, but not recommended, as some Evidences are impossible to get without Voice Recognition and a good amount of cursed objects will not work without it as well.
