Installed OneLoader and ControllerUIOverhaul
OMORI by default out of the box shows keyboard prompts, however your gamepad will still work, albeit with said keyboard prompt. installing controlleruioverhaul fixes it. There is also a Steam Deck standalone version that doesn't require OneLoader.

LD_PRELOAD="" gamescope --adaptive-sync -r 240 -S fit -F nearest -f -- %command%
Out of the box, fullscreen intermittently causes various awful graphical artifacts. Windowed mode works fine. The Gamescope options included here allow the game to run properly in fullscreen, with the caveat that it is now fullscreen-only.
With the Gamescope options but not LD_PRELOAD=""
, the game starts stuttering horribly after about half an hour of continuous play. LD_PRELOAD=""
fixes this.
If you use these Gamescope options to play in fullscreen, make sure the resolution option in the in-game options is set to 1X. It looks very bad if it's set to 2X.

Game runs great. Slight tinker with fullscreen, but this is a KDE issue, not a Proton issue. Easily fixable.
Game runs perfectly, however it gave me issues with running it in fullscreen while it was fine windowed. At first, I thought it was a Proton issue, but I realized after much tinkering that this is actually a KDE issue.
I managed to fix this by 1) running the game windowed, then 2) instead of going fullscreen in-game, right-click the Omori game's window and manually set it to fullscreen there (under "More" > "Fullscreen"). Playing the game fullscreen like this, it ran flawlessly.
Game's fullscreen would, on certain screens/areas, create an odd stuttering effect. Does not occur in windowed mode.

Fullscreen doesn't work properly, otherwise works fine.
Fullscreen was constantly triggering Kwin's maximize animation. I just played in windowed with the desktop background disabled and a lower resolution.
Controller has to be connected before launch.
Finished the game twice.

Works perfectly in windowed mode
Occasional flashes/jittering when playing in fullscreen. Windowed mode works perfectly.

Install OMOCEP lite to alleviate some frame pacing issues, not necessary by any means but it also adds a bunch of quality of life changes.
Game likes to randomly freeze after playing for about 1 hour, the video will be frozen but the game will still be running, with audio playing and inputs being registered, forcing a restart.
Runs well aside from random crashes which are annoying, perfect game for the Deck, getting around 6 hours of battery life at 90hz on Oled model.

Works, but crashes loading cutscenes
Sometimes when going into a cutscene, the screen just goes black and I have to close the game, so I need to load the last save.
Saving frequently, I've not lost much of any progress, but had to rewatch a few scenes
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%

Only issues fixed by disabling fullscreen
Very minor flickering, that may or may not be caused by the game, disabling 2x resoloution removed this
The game flickers when fullscreen on kde, playing windowed fixed this
The game works perfectly, with no bugs or issues in the gameplay, and no crashes. The only issues are with fullscreen.

Disregarding small issues it works perfectly and have completed an entire playthrough without experiencing a single crash.
Certain sections of the game would become slightly transparent for some reason. Rarely happens and lasts a few seconds before turning back to normal; you might not even notice it.
Slight drop in frames in specific areas of the game.
Game would sometimes (rarely) freeze for 1-5 seconds before going back to normal. Does not result in a crash and is insignificant.
NOTE: Using any version of Proton above 6.3-8 results in the main game window disappearing rendering it unplayable. I haven't tested any version of Proton under 6.3-8 past making it to the main menu other than 5.0-10 which I completed an entire playthrough in.

Game installs I even saw the start screen for a few seconds 2 or 3 times then it disappears
None work
Game is unplayable, Window just disappears while the game is apparently still running

Good enough
Slight freezes now and then. Infrequent and short (0.5-2s), not that bad
Finished the whole story on Linux

The only thing that made me able to play was using Proton 4.11-13
Switched to gamepad in options, by default KBM selected and KB inputs are displayed in tutorial

Full playthroughs (different routes) with only minor issues
Graphics would freeze on rare occassions even though the game was still running (I could hear the sound effects from doing things like moving around the menu). Switching to a different window and back typically fixed it. However, two times before a video cutscene it froze permanently and required force quitting the game. After a restart the scene played with no issues.

In fullscreen, my taskbar would constantly flicker in and out of view and, when in windowed mode, the game's background would stutter and its just very unpleasant to look at

Runs as Intended
Mild flashing of the task bar while in fullscreen. Not enough to be an annoyance
Runs perfectly well with Proton 9 and Wayland on KDE Plasma 6, fullscreen is a bit wonky though

Alt-Tabbing is a bit weird when fullscreen.
Cursor doesn't go away when playing with controller.

Game runs perfectly with CEP Lite.
Having some issues getting the game to work post good ending but it worked fine during my playtime so I am going to submit as such.

I tried everything, it doesn't open no matter what.
Tried literally everything on here

Game works properly but has some tearing. and it is inefficient to run with Proton.
This game has tearing on proton.
When I try to start the game, it turns off without any window popping up. This can be resolved by restarting several times without any action.
Omori is made in RPG MV. RPG MV is made in JavaScript and WebGL. Omori will work on Native Linux enviroment with some retouchment. If you have RPG MV Editor, You can retouch the OMORI for running on linux natively. Running OMORI in Wine or proton is very inefficient. It is almost same thing as using Firefox installed through Wine rather than using Firefox installed natively on Linux. I hope the OMOCAT team releases the Official Linux edition soon.

gamemoderun gamescope -F pixel -S integer %command%
Without gamescope, the menu bar and dock would occasionally flicker through the fullscreen app

gamemoderun %command%
If you use SwayWM, weirdly enough, you must constantly mess with the window as it starts or else it disappears and hangs in the background. (No audio or anything so it's obviously just hung)
If it crashes, it's usually at any sort of video cutscene. It usually works the next time around.
Please install the Community Enhancement Pack. It fixes a lot of stability problems and just offers a better overall gaming experience.

Installed OMO CEP Lite, which fixes icons and adds extra features (like more save files).

Some sprites popping here and there, rather rarely.
The game wouldn't let me go past a specific point in the story without crashing. Switching to Proton 5.0-10 fixed that issue for me.
no issues at all. however, i did end up crying for a whole night.

Fullscreening the game causes frequent flickering in and out.
Few lag spikes
Unable to play to completion on low end systems due to consistent crashes
I experienced occasional audio stuttering
The game occasuonally switches from fullscreen to windowed when it hangs
There is a certain battle that consistently crashes towards the end of the game preventing me from progressing any further
Unable to progress past HUMPHREY, game crashes prior to the battle ending
Works perfectly
No issues whatsoever
Игра иногда после катсцен намертво зависала. Помогает перезагрузка или смена версии Proton.
In one place, the textures may blink when walking up and down the screen.
At proton versions > 5.0-10, the game does not render the screen correctly.
At lower versions, important text does not render on the screen, leaving out important plot details.
Please play this game, it is amazing.
Crashing - twice in first ~10 hours of game, frequent after reaching Pyrefly Forest

Glitchy fullscreen makes the game not very enjoyable.
Fullscreen glitches a lot and alt+tab doesn't work, you must minimize the game
