native appears to NOT WORK, as reported in my other review. with proton, it works perfectly. Likely, the devs accidentally borked the linux binary.

Without using any extra options, the game will not detect your GPU and use llvmpipe instead, which is extremely slow. The opening cutscene is unwatchable, and once you get in the game, barely runs, even at 720p. However, after adding PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 to your launch options, it will immediately detect your GPU. Upon relaunching the game, it will autoconfigure it for you. After that, the game just works.
Installed OneLoader and ControllerUIOverhaul
OMORI by default out of the box shows keyboard prompts, however your gamepad will still work, albeit with said keyboard prompt. installing controlleruioverhaul fixes it. There is also a Steam Deck standalone version that doesn't require OneLoader.
