Works great out of the box
No issues at all
Boots and runs with amazing performance without any tweaks

limit to 30 FPS, graphics settings to low

had to use sudo cpupower frequency-set --governor performance
#make sure to use for arch based linux: sudo cpupower frequency-set --governor performance
#make it persist after reboot use: sudo nano /etc/systemd/system/cpupower-performance.service
#paste into

The cursor is slightly corrupted, but that's pretty much it when it comes to graphical problems.
I used GE-Proton7-55, but that won't matter too much as it didn't seem to make much of a difference to me between that version and Proton 9. I played from start to finish and it was pretty much flawless.

This game definitely is steamdeck ready, runs like native on Linux and might even be better than Windows. As for the launch options its best to set the CPU topology to the amount of cores your CPU has to get better multi-threading performance out of this game and eliminate any stuttering.

Works perfectly fine out of the box!
With my hardware, this game even runs at high framerates with no problems!

Works perfectly for me
Works with no issues, just like on windows

Also when swimming it would take a second or ten for it to register my input
Fps is lower than expected and makes playing the game annoying
Overall, performance was poor but ok (but wiht gamemode). The swimming though was so bad and laggy I couldn't play

Too poorly optimized, FPS are horrid.
High settings: 3fps, compared to 40-50fps on windows Medium settings: 30-40fps, compared to 60-80fps on windows
I'm completely astonished by the fact that the ONLY game i have seen publicly giving linux support is the worst game that runs on linux from my library.

It works well. I play it with just a small tinkering: Feral Gamemode and Custom Proton (Proton GE). That's all.

Small performance loss compared to Windows with same hardware and game settings, but really not much.
Overall the game runs fine. There's a small performance loss compared to Windows, but it really isn't significant. About 45 FPS min and 80 max (depends on the area in the game) with medium-high settings, Gamemode and Proton GE 9-21 on my 10 years old hardware.
Runs pretty much flawlessly. Seemed to have some stuttering if I ran it through gamescope but it works fine without it for me.

The game plays great. I'm having a great time playing this for the first time.
I get audio crackling from time to time, apart from that, it runs great and gamers will enjoy the gaming experience on Linux
mangohud gamemoderun %command%

it just works
Install and play, nothing else to say.

Freezes in fullscreen. Works fine windowed but that's lame
Fullscreen freezes game
Freezing in fullscreen issue was not present in proton 7.0-6, but that version had stuttering issues
I think the freezing may have something to do with the custom cursor the game uses

The Performance is comparable or even a bit better, than playing it on Windows 10

Game stuttered significantly with default settings, (/maybe carryover from old system due to cloud save) but resetting to a graphics preset and enabling vsync fixed the problem entirely.
I tried using **Proton GE**, but i have gotten better performace with **Proton Experimental** But it run same as on Windows 11

gamemoderun gamescope -e -W 3840 -H 2160 -f -- %command%
Nothing much to say, really. Plays like a native game out of the box.

Works surprisingly well!
Seems to be working without issues OOB.
Download and play.

~20 fps, compared to stable 60+ on windows
crashed inside lifepod everytime savefile is loaded
not good.
Ran pretty smooth, installed and booted up immediately with no hiccups.
Keep your peepers peeled. Works as expected, 120 fps on high with no stability issues.

For some reason, I need to force a proton version, else steam won't even give the option to install? The quality of the gameplay & graphics is comparable to what I remember it being on Windows, but the motion blur results in unpleasant gameplay for some reason

I do not think people will typically enjoy this amount of lag. But while the lag is unpleasant, I think I could enjoy playing it like this
Very slight crackling, though more noticible while voice lines are playing
Almost certainly a performance problem, not actually an input problem
Probably like 5-10 fps, and significant input lag over my entire OS (~1 to 10 seconds outside of Subnautica, maybe 1 second at most in-game); Better than Minecraft on some of the old laptops I've had XD
I just think it's cool that I can play a Windows game on Linux, even if there's performance issues (Also, steam didn't launch it by default, so I just manually selected the newest non-experimantal version of proton I could)

I use Proton 9.0-3 and it worked great.
Peepers have strange eyes at a certain distance.

No issues even the mods worked for the game.
