Like all the other Frictional titles, this masterpiece runs flawlessly on Linux
Awesome and well known masterpiece of a game. Has a native port but for some reason the audio was too low for me. Worked perfectly with proton tho

Works perfectly

Visual glitches during post credits scene
Borderless doesn't work

-LD_PRELOAD=""
It doesn't switch to the Nvidia graphics card, it stays on the integrated one.
Forced switching to performance mode helped.

Couldn't get the native version to launch but running the windows version through proton fixes it and runs flawlessly.

Worked perfectly with no tinkering required
The native Linux version worked perfectly on my set-up (Fedora, NVIDIA) with no tinkering required.
Game launches to a black screen. Tried verifying the installed files, tried forcing an older Proton, just kept being a black screen.
Игра была пройдена полностью. Никаких проблем при игре обнаружено не было, играл в нативную версию.

I recommend proton over native, but it depends.
Native suffers from screen tearing and for some reason vsync can only be set to 30, 58, and 59, but not 60. Also gamma setting doens't work (moving the slider doesn't make a difference).
Proton version doesn't have those problems, but fps is locked at 60 even if I disable vsync.

Used Japanese Mod

I tried running through Proton too in Kubuntu during my distro hopping before I settled down with current EndeavourOS (blimey this distro is awkward to spell), but that Kubuntu setup has some issues with GUI and Physics, but that setup seems to be has several bugs in generally, especially at processing at Wine, so yeah.

Native version runs great
Played the game to completion - the only issue I've noticed was some small LOD pop-in during post credits scene.
Note that the game appears to be largely hardcoded to run in 60 FPS, which is a bit unfortunate. I would love to play this in 144Hz, but no dice :(.

TDP to 9w
At maximum settungs most of the game runs at 60 with no issue. However in the underwater sections the performance drops and hangs between 45-50 fps
In the LCD model I can get about 2hs of battery

Nothing to add except that the game ran excellent for me and I didn't encounter any problems. Very stable and look great too!

I didn't notice many framerate drops as the visuals are pretty clean and in the intense moments your screen is glitching anyway for gameplay and story reasons.

Nigh-Flawless
In the very early parts of the game the lightning acts weird sometimes entire sections of the level even if they're lighted by nearby mliscelaneous tech can be pitch black and you can't change the gamma settings unless you exit to the menu and return
This issue does not occur w/ proton nor natively afterwards thorought the rest of the game
One of the best native opengl games out there, i strongly recommend not using proton out of pure respect and playing it natively the whole way through

Runs pretty damn well on either native or Proton, but as another person had mentioned before, I had to use Proton to change in-game gamma settings.

Runs flawlessly
Just download and play.

Atmospheric and engaging, even if the player and voiced protagonist may not be on the same page throughout.
Minor stuttering as the game loads the next section, and some pop in during the after credits sequence, but otherwise a flawless experience.
Great atmospheric game, I experienced zero issues.

Runs fine
Slight slow downs and stutters.

I see some black horizontal bands which look like tearing at the very top of the screen occasionally, despite vsync being enabled. I'm streaming the game via sunshine/moonlight so not 100% sure if it's related to that, but otherwise game runs flawlessly
Had to switch to proton experimental to fix gamma calibration which was not adjusting gamma in game using default proton. Works flawlessly aside from occasional minor black banding at the very top of the screen when moving the camera fast.
Game ran perfectly out of the box. Was also able to install and play a number of mod levels from the worksop with no issue.
Runs perfectly out of the box
Нативная поддержка, работает отлично
SOMA нативно запускается на Linux, проблем не заметил, Proton не подключал, не получилось увеличить ограничение ФПС до 70, все равно остаётся 60, возможно нужно просто перезапустить, для меня это не критично.
Runs like native
Crashed twice while walking through a corridor, don't know why tho
It's not for nothing that the creators of the game said they took inspiration from Phillip K. Dick (author of "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep", the novel that would become Blade Runner) SOMA is a perfect game of the cyberpunk genre. However, unlike other titles of the genre, it leaves aside the aspects of megalopolises, criminality and focuses more on the discussion of A. I. s, morality and human consciousness.
During the Gameplay, the environment reminds me a lot of Alien Isolation, except that, instead of taking place in space, PATHOS-II is at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. The atmosphere is very similar, at all times the player is afraid that the noise will attract some monster, even bumping into a pot can be the end. I think SOMA is even better at exploration than Alien because the player can interact with virtually every object in the scenario.
Finally, the game has its beauty in the moments when we can see the ocean, the marine fauna and flora of the Deep Sea is present and adds a lot to the gameplay.

Worked 'out of the box'
Runs perfect
Runs perfect out of the box
Works fine
Native version works but didn't let me change gamma, so I switched to proton and it works fine out of the box
native version runs perfectly. only modification made was for dualshock button icons
Works fine, completed the entire game, but underwater sections run worse than they should
Use Magnifier
Game drops frames more than it should, considering a GT 240 is the required GPU. Can't maintain more than 40 FPS in certain areas.
Lock at 30 FPS if you want a 100% stable frame rate. Interior areas are at a mostly stable 60 FPS (but asset streaming or culling appears to cause FPS drops). Overall still very playable but not as performant as it should be, considering the age and requirements (GT 240 or HD 4670).
Works great out of the box
Worked perfect out of the box
Loaded saves out of order, could be a game but non-specific to Linux though

Does not launch
tried both steam play and linux native, maybe a driver or wayland issue?
