I use the command to access the ArenaNet GUI to log into my non-steam account. The Steam version launches as expected. Any issues encountered were not the fault of Linux, Steam, or Proton, but due to their engine being unable to render massive battles of players and graphical effects.
Atmospheric and engaging, even if the player and voiced protagonist may not be on the same page throughout.
Minor stuttering as the game loads the next section, and some pop in during the after credits sequence, but otherwise a flawless experience.
It's a mix of F.E.A.R. 1 and Crysis 2, combat is visceral, and hectic.
I had some issues getitng it to work, kept demanding D3D12Core.dll, but then suddenly started working, proceeded to work flawlessly. Was able to effectively play the entire game front to back.
Played Early Access; no minor/significant bugs, glitches, or oddities to report. I used Experimental by default.
Attempting to use Experiemental or Latest Proton resulted in a visible UI and a black viewport. Switching to an older version fixed the issue.
