Bioshock: infinetely Better, great game way ahead of its time
both the native and the proton version have their pros and cons, the native version boots up immediately without need to launch it a second time from 2k launcher, but it features notable missing texture and messy meshes (they fill in when you look in that direction but tend to reapear when that object/location is still in your periphery), there's quite a bit of stuttering when you first play the game, the proton version is the way to go although i must say this is one of the better native linux games i've played especially considering its release date and development cycle
-nointro
if i tabbed out to another workspace the game would go in windowed mode and go pixelated and id have to manually go into the settings and set it to 1980x1080 fullscreen
Extraordinary game and a love letter to all modern Metroidvania fans
Just click and play, this game runs stellar natively
Incredible saga, i recommend it happily, sure some corners were uneven when it was first released but the director's cut is very good
The game takes about 15 seconds to close properly, other than that the game ran fantastically
Its actually insane how well this game works considering the fact that its a Wii U version of an XBox game ported to Win 7 then played through a compatibility layer, when connecting and/or disconecting my 8BitDo Controller the game would pick up on the new configuration immediately without having to restart it unlike other native tested games
If you're having issues starting the game find the dot exe file in it's instalation folder and enable full permissions for each category, other than that, everything is fine
Great game, runs very well natively and via proton
The game audio is generally fine but on native menu UI sounds seem to be a little crispier, as in the dull thump sounds made when hovering over various widgets/buttons is generally firmer whereas the win/proton version is a little blaring overall not a huge problem
Get's locked on 60FPS on either native or proton
The UI in the native version is missing certain widgets/components outside such as the DLC top-right ad prop and the "More Games" (from Klei) button but outside of that the core gameplay is flawless and all dlcs run great and without problems
Simply the best zombie game of all time, maybe only second to Dead Rising 3, it used to run well on linux a few years back but not anymore
gamemoderun %command% -vulkan -nosplash
Weird screen tearing and visual degradations in some areas
The Linux port is obsolete/deprecated, if you launch the game without proton you'll be greeted by a black window that will quickly close itself, use proton experimental and put -vulkan mandatorily in the launch options you'll experience lots of screentearing with the default opengl even with vsync on and nvidia's vblank, overall worth every penny
Execent game, unique among its kind
Charming aesthetic art style with highly fluid pix-splash combat, recommend with all my hearth
-vulkan
The native opengl version has some artifacts here and there, launching it with vulkan solves everything
Lovely
When first starting the game it takes about half a minute just for the main window to appear and a weird clipping sound can be as (i assume) the game is installing some more libraries but then everything is ok
Nigh-Flawless
In the very early parts of the game the lightning acts weird sometimes entire sections of the level even if they're lighted by nearby mliscelaneous tech can be pitch black and you can't change the gamma settings unless you exit to the menu and return
This issue does not occur w/ proton nor natively afterwards thorought the rest of the game
One of the best native opengl games out there, i strongly recommend not using proton out of pure respect and playing it natively the whole way through
Underrated gem, hope it'll gain more traction now
Better than Project Zomboid IMO, a great native Linux game, just download and play
-nolauncher
If i deconected my controller the game would crash
Weirdly enough the Proton version starts in a black screen and crashed my entire desktop, the native version made by feral is the only one that starts and works, i don't recommend playing the game with a controller if you deconect it the game will crash, other than that it works flawlessly
