Works great after disabling World Reflections in Graphic Options
disable World Reflections in Graphic options to prevent crashes
Works out of the box
Didn't have to disable water reflections. Used Proton 8.0-2 because the Native client had no audio.
Runs out of the box with some performance issues
Lots of stuttering in Undead Asylum in the beginning but clears up once you leave this area
Runs great even with Xbox 360 controller
I have to disable Steam Input Per Game Setting and BPM Overlay steam input is Active otherwise it will try to map the Xbox controller to WASD which doesn't work.
Crashed when Accepting Game
Can only play bots. Major lag spikes with dx11 and Vulkan. Can't select region automatically because "Unable to ping any region". Accepted after queing up for Turbo and then game crashed. Can't queue up again for 5 mins after restaring client. gave up.
5% low in 90 sec is 9-14 fps
Intro Video played at about 9fps and then locks up about halfway, have to restart game. 5% low measured between 9 -14 fps flying in a shuttle.
Crash on Startup
Shows the splash screen with F.3.A.R and the version number and then quietly quits.
gamemoderun %command%
Had to disable Steam Input and login with the controller.
Significant stuttering that went away after using Feral GameMode
It works but pauses
The instructional video in the beginning doesn't show.
When you Continue or Load a saved game you will enter as a new character with a new name leaving your existing inventory and body behind.
Entering Menu's such as opening miners, inventory, or build menu causes a significant pause before it is displayed.
Without disabling Esync games runs very slowly
By default the game is set to run @ 1024x768. Instead of editing game.prefs I was able to navigate to the video options and change the resolution to 1920x1080.
Proton 5.0-3 didn't launch or even produce a log. Proton 3.16-9 had a black screen but with audio.
Reinstalled Proton 5 and it works now. Secondary Adapter doesn't work. When changing resolution I had to restart the game. Otherwise it works out of the box with the latest Proton. No need to mess with cfg files changing resolution or bloom settings. Option "TearFree" removed the screen tearing.
Crashes before Main Menu
Out of 5 launches, it crashed 4x before reaching the main menu. Managed to load a game once but then it crashed again. Unplayable.
