Played for ~180 hours on linux and had no problems. I use Vulkan as renderer since I noticed lags when tried switching to dx

Tried to launch it with Proton GE, Experimental, 9, and 8, but no luck. Proton 7 worked fine.

I used proton experimental. Runs perfectly smooth like on windows.

Stable 60FPS in 8mod red maps with deli & abyss on KB. 5ways FPS never dropped below 40. No crashes so far

I was using Fluxbox when playing Path Of Exile, it happened to other games on fullscreen too, the "toolbar" was in the way, but solved by playing on Windowed mode
I only tried Vulkan for graphics, not DX11 nor DX12, ran it simply with Proton Experimental and worked with no further tinkering required

I'm getting MUCH smoother expirience on Linux than on Windows. On Windows for example, when doing delve game lags a lot when spawning blue monsters on Azurite nodes, but here it is smooth as butter. I've been playing with my friend that have very simmilar PC (same CPU, and rtx 4080), and he have a lot worse expirience on same settings, he got a lot more crashes, microstutters and lags when there were a lot going on on the screen. I've been really amazed when i've launched this game and it was feeling goooood. I didn't expect such an impact from system switch.
The game runs well on my computer

DX12 in game settings. Switching to Vulkan kills my fps.
Works like a charm, nothing to do just click & play !
Crashes when i use right click

Got the "vk::PhysicalDevice::createDeviceUnique: ErrorFeatureNotPresent" message when booting the game.
Tried switching between standard proton version, experimental, GE-Proton9-22 and 8.0-5 as well as changing the launcher options as Sunscorcher, ĸsiążęce and Kraetos10 said but nothing changed.
Also tried what wigglyDon, BetaVersionBY (https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/1ed0dbg/poe/) and jprofesorek#1652 (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3445835/page/5) said but the problem persisted.
Also also tried what Crabiolo said (https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/1ejg5nx/path_of_exile_vulkan_error/) but couldn't even find the file they're mentioning (I supposed that it would be created when the game properly launched, which didn't happened with me).

Вылетов нет, фризов не замечено, каких-либо иных проблем тоже

Sometimes crashes, but only while in town
When the games crashes Xid errors are reported. So maybe they are not resulting from a bug in proton but the proprietary nvidia driver.

Game does not work (crashes on startup 100%) when in-game renderer option is set to Vulkan. Set to Direct X 12 instead.
The game is completely busted on newer versions of Proton (it was working on proton experimental just a couple weeks ago). I set it to Proton 8.0-5 and it works again.

Game runs well but unfortunately I have frequent crashes (every 5-10 mins) when using the Vulkan renderer
gamemoderun %command%
I see frequent crashes whilst using the Vulkan renderer within the PoE settings menu. DX11 performance is much worse than Vulkan on my machine, and I have to turn down all of my graphics settings for the same framerates.
When the game crashes I see the following logs in syslog:
2024-12-13T13:34:26.640975+01:00 pc kernel: NVRM: GPU at PCI:0000:10:00: GPU-09ce4a0a-5d92-424d-9665-40dd761c8b58
2024-12-13T13:34:26.640993+01:00 pc kernel: NVRM: Xid (PCI:0000:10:00): 13, pid='<unknown>', name=<unknown>, Graphics Exception: SKEDCHECK04_LOCAL_MEMORY_CRS_SIZE failed
This issue does not occur in Windows 10 on the same hardware using the Vulkan rendering method (not sure which version).
I wish I could play on Linux as it runs well, but the frequent crashes mean that I have to switch to Windows for this game instead.

Path of Exile on Steam, black screen
When I launch Path of Exile on Steam, no matter which Proton version I use, it always stays on a black screen after starting and then crashes. Occasionally, it reaches the game menu, but it crashes again afterward

Crashes in some area that contains multiple floor like in the prison. No matter what is the proton version. It seems like this problem caused by the game itself.

Very rarely the menus got stuck, I simply had to swap to another window and back into the game. Sometimes simply pressing ESC would fix it. That said, I don't know for sure if it was a linux issue.
Works perfectly, almost better than windows due to me being more comfortable with my window manager. Slight input issues very rarely, which I am not even sure is a linux issue.

When the game crashes (which can happen even on Windows), it freezes the whole display on KDE, which force you to either change display to kill it if you have multiple displays, either to switch to shell to kill it (ctrl+alt+F3, login, killall PathOfExileSteam.exe, return to desktop with ctrl+alt+F2).
Does it say anything about the stability of the game on Linux vs Windows? No. But it does not crash gracefully on Linux (at least on Nobara KDE).

Actually worked and performed better than when I played in windows 11
I play on a weird chinese miniPC which has questionable windows drivers which would explain why linux seems to run this game way better than windows 11 ever did for me. never encounters a single problem even when alt tabing constantly as I looked at build guides XD

Works great with proton experimental. Tried with Proton-GE 9-20 but game would not launch

Randomly changed from fullscreen to windowed on multiple monitors. Works fine single monitor
The game does not work out of the box, seemingly with my intel cpu/integrated graphics. A comment on this forum post details the bug perfectly and presents a fix with a custom wrapper to use in the boot options and it allows the game to load and work as expected.
