Played the demo without any problem
Some sounds seems to be missing on some levels but it might be due to the demo
Works perfectly
Payed whole game at 1440p and constant 144fps with max settings (except ray tracing).
%command% -use-d3d11
fullscreen mode does not works (blackscreen). windowed borderless adds 1 white pixel border all around but you don't notice it while playing so just use it (and it let you alt tab without problem).
If I change graphics settings during mission I just crash otherwise I have only experimented one crash and I doubt it's due to Linux anyway
Game runs pretty much the same as on windows for good and bad. Pretty much all bugs I have encountered are also present on windows. Use windowed borderless to avoid blackscreen on startup.
Proton version seems to run better than native.
When alt tabbing out of the game and coming back the game still runs with the reduced "background" framerate. You need to change a graphic options for the game to understand it has the focus.
The game runs well considering the awful optimization (much better than the beta). It eats a lot of vram so be sure to reduce your graphics to fit your vram capacity.
I run the game with most graphics maxed at 1440p with FSR3 and framegen. I reach 120-150 fps during fights and around 80 in town. The poor performances are not due to Linux.
games works perfectly in both solo and multi, with a gamepad, a wheel (atleast my moza R3) or a keyboard.
If when you binds your key the game always register Numlock. Quit the game, disable numlock and relaunch. You can re enable numlock after the game start.
If your settings don't save, go to where the game is installed ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/13210/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/My Games/Unreal Tournament 3/UTGame/SaveData/ copy paste Player.ue3profile and replace "Player" by the user name you want (without space). Launch game and during login write the exact name you use for the file then click play offline. Settings save should works.
