It just works!
This is the first Godot made game I had the privilage of owning in my steam library. And I must say its one of the most stable games I have for native Linux, on par with Factorio!
for the most part this ran perfectly as if it was a native Linux port, even the tutorial videos worked
Only issue I've seen is the game would black screen when I tried to alt+tab out but restarting the game fixed that issue.
LD_PRELOAD="" WINEDLLOVERIDE="DWrite=n,b" mangohud %command% --skip-launcher --vulkan
installed the BG3SE mod by placing the DLL in the bin folder
Glad they finally fixed the Vulkan implementation for this game, now Linux users will get the best performance out of their hardware!
A few weird issues that was easy to fix, otherwise it runs great for me on my mini PC using Arch Linux.
-DisableTexturePool
The game kept defaulting to 720p turns out for some reason the resolution in the XUserOptions.ini was set to -1. I was able to easily fix that by putting in the correct resolution.
I had weird issues with the frame rate being super inconsistent and extreme dips when new parts of the world loaded in, not to mention it would have delays with texture loading in. The launch command fixed that issue then it ran better than it would on Windows.
Seems like the Linux version is broken, just use proton its better.
Without some tinkering you might not enjoy playing this game very much, It runs well its just a little weird with certain things.

I followed this steam guide to fix mouse acceleration, FOV, and engine tweaks https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=342566285
Mouse input seemed to be very hyper sensitive making it easy to miss what I was shooting at, the ini tweaks in the mentioned guide fixed that for me.
The game stutters really badly which is unaccaptalbe for my overkill PC with a 6950XT and the i9-13900K
DXVK_FRAME_RATE=120 DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command%
extreme game stutter
If you can get plutonium working I HIGHLY recommend you do so, I usually use lutris but the install script seems to be broken currently.
Thanks to the DRM in this game making proton not work well you have to go a step further using a modded launcher that disables that bs
You need to use the modded plutonium client for this game to be playable on Linux, the easiest way to do this is to just use the lutris install script. Also make sure you got lib32-openal and lib32-pipewire install or it won't work. https://lutris.net/games/call-of-duty-black-ops-ii/
As said before you need plutonium or you'll have a bad time when trying to play this game on steam.

Perfect works just like on Windows
It runs great almost like a native Linux game!
Runs perfectly native just wanted to spruce up the experience with some custom launch commands
SDL_VIDEO_MINIMIZE_ON_FOCUS_LOSS=0 mangohud %command% -maxMem=16384 -heapsize 16775296 -maxVRAM=7168 -novid -vulkan -nojoy -threads 15 -freq 240
PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 PROTON_USE_D9VK=1
Installed physx through the terminal "winetricks physx"
At first the game wouldn't launch but I later found out it was because the game for some dumb reason requires Nvidia physx to run, that wasn't an issue though. All you need to do is install physx through winetricks with the following command and it just works: "winetricks physx"
mangohud %command%
gamemoderun WINEDLLOVERRIDES="X3DAudio1_5=n" ENABLE_VKBASALT=1 %command% +fovy 90
The game appeared to initially freeze when I first tried to launch it, but it seems to be related to not using the audio properly
The game by default doesn't seem to work properly with using whatever default audio codec its made with through proton I made it use X3DAudio which seems to have fixed the freezing and now it runs perfectly.
gamemoderun %command%
Windows or Linux it does not matter, this game will run the same regardless!
It runs perfectly well (way better than on my laptop running windows) only tweak I had to make was to lower my monitor's refresh rate down from 280 Hz to 60 Hz due to the game's physics being tide to the fps.
PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 DXVK_FRAME_RATE=60 mangohud %command%
Fallout 3 on Linux. It just works! Unlike on Windows.....
DXVK_FILTER_DEVICE_NAME="Radeon RX 6950 XT" PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=90 PROTON_LOG=1 gamemoderun mangohud %command%
The game has an issue with detecting the right GPU for the game if your CPU has inegrated graphics, the lanuch commands fixes that.
The game ran perfectly even better than it did on Windows back when I tried. The only issue which is the game itself and not Linux. On high refresh rate monitors the game will go over 60 fps which will break the game physics. I installed reshad and capped the FPS to 60, that was my only actual tweak to the game but I had to do this on Windows too.
gamemoderun DXVK_FRAME_RATE=60 PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 %command%
I had weird audio skipping issue when I tried running it on Win 11 but on Linux it runs like a dream!
Broken and unplayable on Both Windows and Linux!
gamescope -w 2560 -h 1440 -f gamemoderun %command%
Install the improved codecs from this github to make the game more stable and playable: https://github.com/solsticegamestudios/GModCEFCodecFix/
works great after you install the new codec just make sure to switch to beta: x86-64 - Chromium + 64-bit binaries before you go installing the codec from the github
changed to the 64 bit beta branch and installed the codec fix https://github.com/solsticegamestudios/GModCEFCodecFix
I have three monitors and it kept switching to my left one instead of the primary center one, the launch commands fix that: "gamemoderun gamescope -w 2560 -h 1440 -f %command%"
Works better than it did on windows, now I can spam nukes and not worry about the game crashing
After one slight issue with using the wrong monitor that was a simple fix using gamescope. This game ran perfectly.
gamescope -w 2560 -h 1440 -f gamemoderun %command%
I intially had issues with it going to my Primary monitor (I have three monitors) gamescope fixes that via my launch commands
it just works!
use gamescope if you use more than one monitor

This game runs perfectly!

My mouse was very sluggish with response time, but after disabling the smooth mouse option under input settings it was fine.
Works perfectly fine at Native just like it would on Windows. Just sucks Tripwire abandoned dedicated Linux support on Killing Floor 2
gamemoderun %command%
I know this game is native Linux but if you're like me and also want your mods working you'll need to use proton. I tried regular proton but my mods wouldn't load in and the audio would glitch out so I use the latest glorious eggroll veriosn and everything just works now.
gamemoderun %command%

Thanks to NTSync I had to install the cachyos variant of proton to get the support for it. But it was so worth it!

This game runs well on Steam I can also just use the steam workshop mods with ease.
The game runs fine for like the first hour of playing, eventually it will just randomly crash on you the longer you play it.
The game eventually crashes at random under prolonged gameplay.
I don't think the crashing is a Linux issue, I remember having this issue on Windows as well.
MESA_LOADER_DRIVER_OVERRIDE=zink mangohud %command%
I had to list the number of threads my CPU had by changeing from the default 8 threads to 16 threads under the MaxSimultaneousThreads = 16 section in the config.ini file located at "home/username/.local/share/Aspyr/Sid Meier's Civilization 5" otherwise the game will crash
eval $( echo "gamemoderun mangohud ENABLE_VKBASALT=1 %command%" | sed "s/2KLauncher\/LauncherPatcher.exe'.*/Base\/Binaries\/Win64Steam\/CivilizationVI.exe'/" )
The Native Linux version of this game is currently broken thanks to the stupid 2K Launcher but after using the launch option command to bypass it all together it works as well as the native version using Proton GE
They just removed the launcher finally! It now works perfectly with proton and even DX12 option!
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
2K finally caved in on the backlash and removed that stupid launcher nobody asked for or wanted, and now the game runs flawlessly on proton! No need for overly verbose launch commands anymore!
This game works perfectly on the latest version of proton (I use Proton Experimental) And even the BetterSADX mod works with this installed via Wine although there was a warning saying it was missing a dll file but I checked it was in my directory so mostly likely just a bug that is more of a minor annoyance than anything because ignoring this and launching the game still works.
gamemoderun %command%
I initially had a weird issue with the game not running but after installing it on another drive it now just works, very odd but sometimes this weirdness will just happen on Linux lol
WINE_CPU_TOPOLOGY=8:0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 mangohud %command%
This game definitely is steamdeck ready, runs like native on Linux and might even be better than Windows. As for the launch options its best to set the CPU topology to the amount of cores your CPU has to get better multi-threading performance out of this game and eliminate any stuttering.
As long as you use the Native version it'll work great because for dumb some reason the proton version is banned by Valves own anti-cheat
rm ./bin/libSDL2-2.0.so.0; gamemoderun %command% +exec autoexec -windowed -noborder -novid -nojoy -nosteamcontroller -nohltv -particles 1 -precachefontchars -noquicktime
I installed the Mod Manager 2 through steam tinker launcher because mods, otherwise base game is perfectly playable

Audio is a tad bit on the low side for some reason this is a common trend with all Bethesda games, but turning up the volume more will obviously fix that.
It just works
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
If you play this with friends online its not playable at all for that, but singleplayer seems to be okayish for me.

Some thumbnails weren't loading in properly
Could not connect to a session with a friend invite via steam.
So initially both the Native Linux port and even default proton running any version would straight up die
gamemoderun %command%
I had to force wine to run in Window 7 and install two DLLs that being the latest version of d3dcompiler and d3dx11 (also make sure you run the game in DX11 mode for this to work)
Requires some more setup with protontricks in order to get this game to a playable state. But after doing my protontricks workaround it works just like it would on Windows with no issues!
