Will stop locking the cursor to the window in fullscreen while using the in-game menus if I alt-tab. Other games do this on KDE as well.

0 problems whatso ever
altho i did not play this game long enough to 100% garantee itll be fine all the way through the game but im confident theres no issues
Runs well, one crash in 20 hours of multiplayer

Only Proton 7.0-6 can go to the initial screen. Newer versions (Hotfix, Experimental, etc.) only play a little music after launching and then force close immediately.

Runs great on Fedora KDE 42, this game does not like CPU overclocks had to reset mine to default. Was causing kernel panics.

Broken on Ubuntu 24.04.2
Game attempts to start, delivers a popup window of the space suit with a red exclaimation mark for a short time, then returns to not running status. Tried with Proton 9.0-4, 8.0-5, experimental, and hotfix and all have the same problem

Approuved ✅
Very pleasant experience. Multi (2 Players) ✅ !

The game is playable despite the performance issues but once you reach mid- or late-game, it can become a slideshow in some places.
Modified boot.config in the game's 'Planet Crafter_Data' folder to change garbage collection timer and tell the engine to use more CPU cores:
scripting-runtime-version=latest
hdr-display-enabled=0
gfx-enable-gfx-jobs=1
gfx-enable-native-gfx-jobs=1
gfx-threading-mode=6
wait-for-native-debugger=0
vr-enabled=0
gc-max-time-slice=10
job-worker-maximum-count=10
job-worker-count=10
Unfortunately it doesn't impact the game as much as other games based on the same engine.
Significant performance issues in mid- to late-game regardless of graphics settings.
Doesn't happen like this on Windows 10 with the same PC.
Tried GE-Proton from 9-13 to 9-25, Steam's own Proton 9-XX and Proton Experimental for little-to-no difference in performance.
Recent patches improved the performance a little but not enough.
Sub 30 FPS even at low settings in windowed mode @1024x768 in mid- to late-game.
Perfect experience, no tinkering required.
All green

Crash regularly while opening containers
Was originally playing on Windows but recently switched to Pop!_OS. Some details: I am in a multiplayer game, I am not the host. I've tried using several Proton versions, verifying the files, reinstalling, various launch commands, playing with graphics settings LOW as well as plain Windowed mode, turning off programs running in the background (usually just Discord), turning VSYNC off. None of the above has solved the crashing problem I experience - any time I open a container/storage locker, I experience a crash that kicks me back to the main menu. I do not experience the same problem while playing in Windows OS. Unfortunately in this state, the game is unplayable for me in Linux.

awesome game, works perfect ootb
had a 5 hour session without any issues. Performance is great, no crashes whatsoever

Just works
No tinkering needed.

When docked, sometimes my bluetooth controller would fight with mouse and keyboard and make the game unplayable until the controller was disconnected
Expect 20 fps but otherwise works

PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=400
some weird audio stuttering, Most online recommend using the attached launch option to solve it. but I found making sure the ingame volume for eveyrthing was set to max solved it for me.
I am using pipewire

Enjoyed the game for a better part of 13h and loved it. Sometimes when I wander off my base I get a tiny freeze but I suspect it's just loading some other part of the world and it isn't a really big problem. Works OOTB perfectly

the game occasionally creashed twice after the Planet Humble DLC update.
I have enjoyed the game very well, the two cases of crash have been a long time apart and I am not sure if it is caused by a problem with the game or my machine, I still report it. I played it solo for a couple of hours, but the rest of the game has been in multiplayer, with four other users and they all use windows and we haven't had any big problems. I should also say that I have proton's FSR active to improve performance, but without it the game still works fine,
Runs perfectly

Game works good
Game works really good on linux both demo verison and full one. If you played demo previous use cp ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1830840/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/MijuGames/Planet\ Crafter/*.json ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1284190/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/MijuGames/Planet\ Crafter/ command to copy saves from The Planet Crafter: Prologue (demo) to full to play it in newly installed full one.

The game runs great out of the box. Only the sound is a bit distorted.
The audio is a bit distorted.
Start to lag roughly after T3 technology appears

Recently this game would not load, but with the current updates has started working again

Audio stutters from time to time; didn't happen in early game.
Stutters occasionally; didn't happen in early game.
runs exactly like on Windows 10, out of the box

installs but doesn't launch via Steam
I've tried all proton versions down to 7, plus PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% but the game just won't launch at all. It also crashes immediately when launched via Lutris/Wine.
Oddly, the Prologue version of the game runs fine using Proton experimental.

Had the "runs without ever opening a window" issue for a while, turned out the default driver for my Nvidia card that Ubuntu was running (535) was too old, had to swap to 550 instead, which caused the usual headache of swapping graphics drivers on linux.
Still runs kinda slow for what I recall of my save last time (right after the portal update), even on just "high" graphics, going to poke around a bit more while doing multiplayer and see if I can remedy that.
This game has worked fine on this system, but recently stopped working. I played as recently as a few weeks ago.

Tried forcing every available Proton option, none worked
Broken for Linux

Ips: 45ips - 90hz Fsr 5
Worked out of the box. No tweaks needed!

Zero issues start to finish!
Completed a multiplayer playthrough with a friend on windows with no problems.

PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Without launch options the game fails to launch with or without Proton Experimental. Works great with Proton Experimental / GE and Launch Options: PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Game launched on old nvidia drivers, but suffered from huge FPS and tearing issues.
A system update including nvidia drivers rendered the game unlaunchable. Various Proton versions attempted, including GE9-9. Game was refunded shortly after.

Pinned recipes in the top left corner can be a bit hard to make out
D-Pad inputs are very unresponsive in menus. They work perfectly when pulling up menus, but once within a menu they're very unresponsive for navigation.
Performance is never unplayable, but towards the end of the game when you have a lot of flora the game definitely chugs a bit
Performance isn't flawless, but it's been perfectly serviceable as the primary method I've used to play the game from start to finish.

Works out of the box
- Videos won't play e.g. the opening scene but this is a "typical" Proton issue with many games..
- Multiplayer not tested
