I have to switch to another workspace and then back to the game in order to make the bounds work correctly.
40 hours gameplay and the game works perfectly with mods!
Did not work using Proton 5.13-4 Worked fine using gloriousEgg Proton-5.9-GE-8-ST
As good as it gets!
Twice in 700 hours of gameplay the game freezes and my PC reboots
Proton 6.5-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases/tag/6.5-GE-2
I had to manually adjust the resolution in the settings so that it matched the resolution of my screen
Great game if you like this genre!
Very rarely
Have to use ALT-ESC and SUPER-H to get rid of steam window which overlays. Also need to do this to get focus to game so that keyboard works.
See above
Very infrequent crashes
Did not run natively. Did not run using Proton 5.13-4. Ran OK using Proton-5.9-GE-8-ST
Unable to interact with anything after a few minutes. Could not 'esc' out of the game & had to force application to quit
DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command%
Graphics Performance better when in windowed mode & VSYNC disabled
FPS Drops to around 16 when viewing the Skill Tree otherwise OK
I need to avoid viewing the skill tree (press ESC -> View) or FPS drops and I must re-log the game to fix; can add skills from skill tree when meditating without FPS dropping. Otherwise game works perfectly on my system (typically 40+ FPS with Epic Graphics)
Very heavy glare sometimes when building (sometimes it's there... sometimes not... mostly not)
Great Game, No serious issues on Linux
Very playable and enjoyable game, occasional crash and poor fps tolerable in my opinion
Occasional crash loses LOTS of progress
Poor framerates unless game is stared from a fresh reboot
Did not work (no matter what I tried)
Tried fixes from previous posts but no luck on my system.
PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 %command% -skipintro
WINEPREFIX="mnt/data/SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/244850/pfx" winetricks --force -q dotnet48
I experienced the game going into slow-motion until I applied the winetricks fix to use .NET Framework 4.8
Fixed by upgrading AMDGPU video driver to v5.7.50700
95% of the time this game works as expected; I have never seen a problem if I run the game from a clean system reboot.
Sometimes (not often) the game starts with no audio (and actually my desktop loses audio as well). A system reboot always fixes this.
Common with some other games Subnautica always starts behind the steam window and I have to use Alt-Esc to select the Subnautica fullscreen before I can play
On two occasions my system rebooted while in-game.
I use Proton-5.9-GE-6-ST
Changed screen resolution to 1920x1080 (otherwise 1FPS)
Until screen resolution reduced to 1920x1080
DIdn't get deep into the game but it seems to be running OK
