There was screen tearing even with vsync enabled in-game.
I run everything at 1080p@60htz. I disabled Battleye anti-cheat, because I only play single player.

Even this aged game which still gets updates and vast workshop mods. Some mods caused a crash, but following the community forums that's a general issue and not Linux/Wine specific. In rememberance of good old times I gave this another couple of gaming hours and noticed no issues, I wouldn't remember being an issue years ago on a Windows 10 installation (general weak AI, frickle snapping of building parts, etc.).

The launch command did not work (for me) until I went from Proton-GE to Experimental. This is literally the only reason it was forced.
Rare crashes, once every 10 hours or so.
Game crashes/restarts after clicking "connect" on the Mods update screen. Upon restart, the game will either error out and crash or won't be able to connect to funcom servers (at which point I must exit manually). On 3rd start, if I cancel the attempted auto connect, then I can login without issue. This happens EVERY new session, which is quite anoying.
without tinkering my game couldnt pass the intro video, as soon as video ended my game was closing down, switching to proton 9.0-4 fixed that issue and the game works pretty much the same way as on windows .Main menu background is kinda messed up and looks like a broken CRT monitor but all buttons are clear. I had to disable the battle eye as i was getting an error that the battle eye installed incorrectly and the game was switching off, once I've disabled battle eye the game just runs like on windows. no problem with isntalling Savage wilds mod or AoC mod either

I was playing it for a few months, ran great, then all of a sudden started to get "Fatal Error" as the game tries to load into the map. Dont know what happned but I can no longer play. verified files, reinstalled mods, trying different proton versions, even tried reinstalling the came completely, and just get fatal error as soon as the load bar reaches 100% to get into the map
If anyone has experienced issues like mine and found a solution. Id love get mine working again.
It runs great, at a locked 48FPS, would even run 60FPS if I wanted to, flawlessly. Ocasional stutter but I think that's normal.
Set resolution to 1153x720 and TDP to 13W
It's a tad bit small, but once you get set in the game it's not that bad.

Had to go back and forth between windows before the game grabbed the cursor.
Game crashed on as soon as the initial main menu appeared when using default Proton. Switching to GE allowed me to play (mostly) without issues.

The vegetation setting might need to be lowered when running midnight grove, if you notice a dip in there just drop that setting first.
Not linux related, but the game engine makes you slide all over the place when running above 60 fps, it helps locking it to 120 for most areas but you will still slide around in dungeons and areas near the edges of the map.
Multiplayer experience on a private dedicated server was very smooth. Mods were easy to add after the initial struggle of figuring out how to get them working on a linux server.

Introduction and the main menu background are buggy.
Without Proton BattlEye Runtime I couldn't play online.
To play online you need to install the Proton BattlEye Runtime Steam's tool. Just look for it in the search bar of your library. I didn't have any troubles. I played on official server ~1.5h with my lvl 30 character, did some buildings and everything was smooth. 60 FPS with Ultra graphics.

Is pretty playable. Playing with mods. At renderdistant animals/humans have for a really short time some kind of purple glow in the face area but if you go some steps forward it vanishes.
Minor stuttering in one of the intro logo movies. Otherwise, no problems at all.
I haven't tried multiplayer yet. Not expecting BattlEye to work; I'll update if it does.
Launch option gamemoderun %command% (suggested by others) made the Funcom launcher fail to launch; it just dumped me back in Steam as if I hadn't even tried to run the game. Reverting the launch options to a blank line -- and selecting a specific Proton version (9.0-2) -- made it work.

Starting menu background is bugged, but didn't prevent launching. Had some hitching but stopped after putting gamemoderun %command% in launch options.
You cannot play online as BattlEye kicks you immediately after character creation. Singleplayer's great. Options a bit jank until in game.
Specifically had a hard time with drop downs and rebinds up until I actually started a game. No gamemoderun / mangohud as the game crashes on load. No connecting to MP server either even if it has BattlEye disabled as it's still required to start locally even if you have it disabled. (Why is there even an option to disable it???)
I enjoyed many hours with Conan. The game ran fine for me... the FPS wasn't amazing, around 30ish but it wasn't a problem for me with playing. Highly recommend.
(I may have had to press a few on-screen keyboard strokes to name my Game Save, but can't recall).

с модами работает стабильно (около 50 штук в модпаке), главное меню рябит и выглядит как разбитый монитор (или рябь разноцветная) а сверху кнопки, после пока багов не замечено.
They've fixed it (in Steam Beta client)! ^_^ Game works now. Without Proton-GE startup video does not play (on Proton 8.0-5).

This is a work-around without using steam's linux client! Installed Lutris, downloaded steam for windows setup from steam. Ran steam setup from Lutris using runner lutris-GE-Proton8-25-x86_64, logged in to steam, installed game and started play.
Completely broken since "Age of War Chapter 3 Hotfix 2 Patch Notes (2024.01.16)"
It starts the launcher but clicking on "Play" will just do nothing, the game won't launch. It used to work flawlessly on Proton Experimental before the "Age of War Chapter 3 Hotfix 2 Patch Notes (2024.01.16)" update.

tried proton experimental, tried proton8.0-4. GE didnt even get me the "fun"com launcher and the rest only got me as far as the launcher. others are saying it hasnt worked since chapter 3 but it was working for me before the most recent update, now its compltely borked.
sidenote: i dont know why its wrong but my system info is outdated, the hardware is correct but my kernal versiobn is 6.6.10-arch1-1

The game hasn't launched over the last several days. I've tried reinstalling, verifying files, and numerous versions of Protonkl/GE-Proton. It won't run on any Linux PC I've tried.
Sopped working on January 12th 2023
It worked till friday, and now it's just after launching the game from the laucher, I've tried using Proton GE, and disabeling BattleEye, but notighing seems to work
It only starts launcher, game immediately crashes with error (if it starts at all)
I've also tried Proton Experimental, Proton 8.0-4, Proton 7.0-6, Proton 6.3-8 and Proton 5.13-6, verifying game files, disabling DLCs. It used to work in past.

Up until these dates I ran Conan Exiles on both PC and Steamdeck under 8.04 flawless - no issues. Note I do not run Battleye because I have a private server with mods. Now looking at the notes there was a lot of Workshop changes. I have tried scrubbing everything with no mods, but still the game will not run - it just drops back to the Steam Play Button.
Something changed under the hood for sure!
