I played every single route except some of the Bad Endings without a single issue. The Launch option is something i use by default, didn't test it without.

I played through all routes including the "Grand End" and some Bad Endings. Didn't encounter a single issue. The Launch option is something i always add, didnt test without it.
Shows up fo a second an then closes
AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV %command%
That's probably the game though, same happens on windows.
The game has a wildly varying performance and runs worse than you might expect that's not caused by Proton though. The same issues have been present on windows for years.
Some performance issues but otherwise fine.
Occasionally the game freezes for less than a second but not to a game-breaking amount and the load times between areas are unusually long.
Didn't start with the 7.10-GE version of Proton, the standart one used was 7.0-1.
Freezes during opening cinematic
AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV %command%
I tried the latest GE-version, 9.0-1, 8.0-5, 7.0-6 and 6.3-8 in all cases the game completely freezes at the openening cinematic. Trying to skip it also freezes the game.
Minimizing the window and freezes the game on a black screen
Proton-GE-7.5 was the only version that played the video, official versions showed the test screen and newer GE versions messed up the colors of the opening movie.

Slight stutters without RADV, not issues after adding the line.
renamed video files
At the ending video the test screen showed up and the game froze completely shortly afterwards.
I tried Proton 7.0-2 and experimental both showed the same issue at the ending video (the first one surprisingly played flawlessly with standart proton, i recommend renaming both though just in case). You won't miss anything by skipping them, unfortunately since they freeze the game and they can't be turned off like in the "Flowers"-VNs i can't call the game playable without tinkering yet.
Used the GE-version by default, didn't test the normal one.
I use the GE version by default, didn't try the standart ones.
Excepting the Epilogue everything runs fine
Performance drops when entering a new area, runs fine afterwards though
I got a single crash after resting, so it's rare but can happen.
Epilogue wasn't playable, screen stayed black while audio and text kept playing.
I tried playing the Epilogue with the GE-version 7-31 and experimental but it didn't help. Everything else was played with the normal version 7.0-4.
When starting the game it might need a few attempts. sometimes it only shows a black screen and you have to close it (Alt+Tab and close in steam library) and try again. It always worked for me after a few attempts. You'll notice the issues if the black screen doesn't show the mouse cursor after a few seconds.
The crashes i experienced might very well be the games fault as there are similar reports on windows, no idea what causes the black screen issue it's completely random but only on startup before the publisher logos appear.

Slightly flickering light in the main menu
For its Look, there are a lot of fps drops and occasional stutters in towns. Might be the game though.
Without Experimental I experienced severe lighting bugs mainly inside closed areas everything was so bright I couldn't stand playing. Performance issues didn't change on any Proton version i tried though.
I was able to access the online rankings but didn't do any testing of the actual MP-gameplay.
Movies don't play but everything else works fine
Movies only show test screen
There are improvements, with previous Proton versions (including GE) i had to disable movie-playback because the game froze now it shows the test screen and continues afterwards like normal.
Having Movie playback enabled freezes the game on a white screen, can be disabled in the menu to play the game.
Aside from the movies it works without any noticable issues
Movies only play the first time after that it only shows the test screen.
Having Video Playback enabled freezes the game in a white screen, disable from the menu.
Aside from the videos everything works perfectly
Videos only showing the test screen
I didn't try MF-codecs or other versions of Proton
AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV MANGOHUD_CONFIG="cpu_temp,gpu_temp" mangohud %command%
Very rare crashes on loading screen, got like 2 in 12 hours.
AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV solved pretty much all issues for me, without it i got heavy artifacts, completely broken lighting and framerate down into the middle single digit area (10-15 fps on average) with almost not hardware utilization (other Proton versions didnt change anything). With the line mentioned above i get 60-144 fps (depending on place and situation) and the other issues disappeared.
Aside from the Videos (which you won't notice missing if you don't know about it, no impact on Story) everything else works fine
Videos not playing
Didn't try using MF codecs.
Black screen on launch
From what i could find it's a random issue caused by some combinations of hardware and codecs (or the lack of certain ones) which also happens with Windows. So it might work for other people, it didn't work for me though. Tried 7.10-GE, experimental and 7.0-1 official proton versions.
Videos don't work but everything else does
Videos only show the test screen.
It did not run with the newest GE version (7.10-GE) the game froze with a black screen at the opening video when i tried. The regular Proton version (7.0-1) worked with the issue i mentioned.
I used the GE-version by default, didn't test the normal one.
The GE-version i used is currently the most recent one and includes the fix necessary to play the game. On every other version the game crashes whenever it tries to create system data making it unplayable. With the fix everything works without any issues though.
I fully played through the game with GE-Proton7-38 noticing no issues at all, i also tried the standart 7.0-4 and Experimental the only difference is that you only see the test screen at the credits.
DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command%
The official Proton version (7.0-4) causes severly increased load times, temporary freezes during loading and graphical glitches like some colors not shown correctly. The stutters improved by switching to the GE version or experimental (still noticable), the other issues mentioned above disappeared. Adding DXVK_ASYNC took care of the worst stutters almost completely (at least as far as i could tell).
Some small stutters, other than that it works perfectly
Some slight stutters, might be a game rather than a proton issue though.
Some wierd random display issue upon startup where the game only showed up in a part of the screen (full picture but smaller, rest of the display black), switching between fullscreen and borderless ingame brings it back to its original size (don't even have to actually confirm the change, just go back into game without saving the settings after the display stays normal).
Runs perfectly
Completed a full playthough with Proton 7.0-4 and didn't encounter a single issue.
Works perfectly out of the box
Didn't notice any issues in one (almost 100%) playthrough.
Normal Proton either froze at a black screen at the first movie (7.0-1) or got stuck in an infinite loop when the falcom logo appears (7.0-2). After switching to experimental i didn't experience any issues though
Works perfectly out of the box
Did pretty much everything in the game you can do in one playthrough excluding harder difficulties and didn't run into any issues with version 7.0-2.
Random crashes after manually saving (siving still sucessful, so no progress lost) and at certain area transitions during story sections. Maybe one every 1-3 hours.
1-3 hours is an average sometimes the crashes happen more often, somtimes I could also play 8 hours without one. As you know that usually (some exceptions but much less frequent) they happen after saving the game and there is no lost progress i still enjoyed the game.
Very minor delay when enemies die during combat, couldn't test if that's proton or the game though as on my W10 the whole game was in slowmotion for some reason.
When trying to close the game it freezes instead of stopping the process. Alt+Tab to steam and close it via the launcher works though.

I played a full playthrough and didn't ancounter a single issue.
Used GE-version of Proton by default, didn't test the normal ones.
AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV %command%
I finished a full playthrough (about 35h) without any issues. The Launch parameter is something i add by default.
Videos played without audio.
After switching back to windowed my Browser running in the background didn't display correctly (turned upside down and could only be closed with keyboard, mouse didn't work until i closed it), rest of the desktop was not affected.
The videos don't contain anything important, not much lost there. I tried playing the videos (from album, rest of the game only tested with 7.5-GE and 7.8-GE) with official version 7.0-1 and the current experimental version, both only showed a test screen while 7.5-GE and 7.8-GE played them but without audio.
Videos play without audio
The Windowing-issues i had in YumeUtsutsu: Remaster did not happen here, i didn't test official proton version for the videos this time but i expect the same results as in the previous game.
