limited fps to 45, medium settings, resolution scale 80%
artifacts because of the resolution scale 80%

Runs flawlessly with no tinkering.

Runs smooth
Amazing game would recommend

Launching with newer versions of Proton results in the error: LowLevelFatalError [File: Unknown] [Line: 1209] GameThread timed out waiting for RenderThread afer 120.00 secs

Stray runs puuuuurfectly under Linux (CachyOS here). I used proton-cachyos and 'game-performance %command%' for launch parameters.

Working just fine straight outta box
No noticeable stutter and fps drops, everything works just fine.

I have a arm64 emulation so it is expected
Keep in mind I am emulating with muvm and fex-emu

It works well, it plays well, and it's overall one of the best stories I've played.

From someone who did 100% achievements all on steam deck, stray runs perfecly out of the box.
Tho game runs very well, there are some barely noticable frame drops in more demanding areas. I would recommend setting all graphical settings to medium, resolution scale to 80% and lock in game and on steam deck to 60 fps. That way I had no issues at all.
Works perfectly well out of the box.
X-Box controller was not detected by default.
Had to go to the games steam menu -> Controller -> Disable Steam input
I use the latest version of GE-Proton on everything unless it needs tinkering. It just works. any newish proton version should suffice.
Working great. Basically no issues by default.
Everything runs smooth. Controller is 8bitDo SN30pro+
Played through the game with no issues
impossibile giocare con il controller
Runs flowlessly
It works out of the box, no issues

13w TDP
I'm impressed at how well this game runs on the Steam Deck LCD (running Bazzite:40).
You basically have two options for graphics, either going for Medium-High Settings & 80% Resolution Upscaling (default) or 40FPS/Low Settings/Native Resolution.
Both are good options, I much prefer Native Resolution to eliminate the FSR artifacting and ghosting that is very noticable around the cat. It does drop into the 25-30fps range when loading into a new area for about 2-3 seconds, but afterwards is a solid 40.

Works basically perfectly out of the box, other than the fixable fullscreen funkiness
A bit funky with how it handled fullscreen: if set to fullscreen it became windowed but big enough to cover a full monitor, also some weird stuff happened when unfocusing it and trying to focus it back. Making it windowed and fullscreening it through my window manager (hyprland) removed any weirdness.
Perfect out of the box
No issues at all.

Works out of the box
Works perfectly, no tinkering required.

My Logitech F710 controller was detected by Steam and Stray game, but it was unresponsive in-game
Until you reach the part "Slums" optimization is a bit poor. After that, the game runs well as it runs on Windows.

Perfect experience
Install and play, no tinkering needed. Same performance as Windows.

Sometimes rendering stutters, which can be expected for an older, slower system
See summary, after a lot of trial and error, trying the DX12 or DX11 flags, which would fail to start, I finally got the game running fine (albeit with occasional short stutters, which is not really a problem for this game and likely won't happen on a faster system). Proton Hotfix version was the key to success, all other (Experimental and older) were failing with "the map could not be found" error. Note this is not a custom Proton version, I just selected the (for me) last entry in the list, which finally brought the game to life.
Launch options should not apply for a conventional setup, those are needed to select the correct NVIDIA GPU (the eGPU, not the dGPU of the laptop), as otherwise the game will try to run on the much slower, much older, internal NVIDIA dGPU. Thanks to DXVK flag it is possible to match a search string and select the GTX 1080.

Game needs more optimizations, performance problems happen on Windows too. Can be ignored tho'

gamemoderune %command%
i had to get visual c++

For some games I force experimental out of caution, though this game runs fine either way. Highly recommend you give it a try, it's wonderful!

I think besides the launch option (forcing to add VC+++ to the Steam Deck) it doesn't need anything else.
