Text is slightly small in the conversation pop-ups.
You need to download the fix here: https://github.com/doitsujin/atelier-sync-fix After that, go to Manage -> Browse local files -> c/p the d3d11.dll file in the opened folder.
Make sure you also use Latest GloriousEggroll Proton Version (use ProtonUp-QT for easier install) + the command listed in this report. Games should run with no issues.

Game works great with a little tinkering, have had no problems with it. Good default controls

During certain still image cutscenes, they look very low quality.
As others have explained better, with the custom fix + GE version, the game works great. You also have to tap "Start Game" on the touchscreen when the launcher appears. Otherwise, great controls.

The text itself looked slightly pixelated, but since it was voice over, you did not lose anything.
Works out of the box with no issues. Great short game to play on the Steam Deck!
The game works perfectly out of the box, have had no issues on Linux
The game does have some little bugs here and there, but the devs are fast at fixing them and updating the game. Controller support is almost done too (for Steam Deck)
Had no issues playing the game beginning to end, really good and the music is FREAKING AWESOME.
After switching some proton versions and figuring out the save issue, it's a good game
There is this issue that when you save the game or it autosaves, you get a "Something went wrong" error, but the game is saved. Slightly annoying, but as long as the game is saved, it's fine.
It took me a few tries to have it worked (switched different proton versions), and aside from the save error issue, the game works with no issues.
The game doesn't actually save your progress
When saving, you get a "Something went wrong error", but while in-game, it seems like it saves the game. But once you exit the game and then start it again, the save is no more. Unplayable unless you wanna keep your game open all the time.
The game worked out of the box, played a bit to check the controls and everything looks smooth and works great.
Aside from the occasional crashes, the game runs perfectly fine, it's quite stellar. Love every second of it.
After about 8 hours of gameplay, the game has started randomly crashing, it's never in the same place. It usually happens while exploring the world and once it happened when I was changing settings.
The game runs pretty well and have not encountered any issues yet.
The video on the start screen and when you start a save cannot be seen. I did use the usual command to update the latest Proton version (for another game), but it doesn't seem to work for this game.
Game runs out of the box once you Force the use of a Proton version
Only played for about 30 mins, to see if the game works. Haven't seen any problems yet. Will later try Multiplayer too, will update my review once I do so.
Game runs out of the box once you Force the use of a Proton version
Tried 2 people co-op and the game played perfectly.
The gamee works great, very enjoyable and the co-op is super good too. Highly recommend!
Considering that even on windows the game is quite buggy, the experience shouldn't be too different.
From what I see, the problem exists even on WIndows. I've mostly seen floating objects here and there.
Problems related to multi-monitor setup. Like mouse locked in the game screen despite setting as window mode.
For nvidia users, driver version do matter quite a lot. I strongly recommend to update nvidia drivers in order to play the game.
No. Due to The Heist mission, game is unaplayable. I was having a great time until I got to it and ignored crashes and other issues.
Cannot hear sounds from random NPCs or anything outside of direct dialogue in quests. A "solution" to this is to always have Hacking mode active (press Tab).
I've mostly seen floating objects here and there. From what I see, the problem exists even on Windows, so it is not Linux specificl

The game was playable until The Heist mission. On the way to the hotel, the game keeps crashing for me, and you cannot skip that cutscene. I have tried different things (e.g. 30s in inventory, 5s in cutscene), but nothing helps.

After many months, this game now works great on Linux and you will have a good time with it.
Can't multi-task when the game is on, nothing seems to work.
The game works great and I didn't have any issues with it. Worked out of the box.
Early Access review: The game runs perfectly and I've had no problems with it. Awesome game.
The game plays well, didn't have problems.
Game starts up in small window, wasn't able to make it bigger.
Game sometimes crashes after a couple of hours of gameplay. It starts right up after that and saves properly.
This game plays really well on Linux and have never had a problem with the game running well, even after updates.
Some lagging happens in the later stages of the game when you have many buildings in your city.
This game works great with Proton-GE.21-GE-2 version. Have had no issues playing it, single and co-op.
Slight FPS drops when loading new areas. Some screen tearing too.
You enable DLSS with PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 %command%
.
The game works great out of the box. Highly recommend. No issues with MP either.
The game works, but the frequent crashes are annoying and most people would probably put the game down until it's fixed.
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 VKD3D_CONFIG=dxr %command%
Game crashes after about 30 mins, usually when switching to another area through a cutscene/loading screen. Has happened with fast travel too.
Will update this report as fixes happen (e.g. Day 1 Patch) or the community figures out fixes.
The game runs great for me and as long as you solve the crashes, it's worth playing for sure
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 VKD3D_CONFIG=dxr %command%
Ocassional weird lighting and some textures.
I solved this by using the following command "sudo sysctl -w vm.max_map_count=655300" or 1000000 (I did not need to go that high)
I've had no issues with stuttering or FPS, my only huge issue was crashes during loading screens, be it Floo Flame or cutscenes. The command for max_map_count solved the crashes, but you have to run it every time you reboot the PC and want to play the game.
At this time, on any kind of Proton version, the game has huge lag as soon as you start it. Unplayable.
Literally can barely move the mouse on the screen to select anything.
The game crashes as soon as I start it. I don't receive a pop-up message to send a report.
At least for me, not really, due to the frequent crashes.
Floating stones and trees, was able to solve it by setting the game to Windowed mode and Original graphics.
As others have said, this game works only in Windowed and Borderless modes.
There was some lag when moving through the open area.
The game is crashing after about 15-20 mins of gameplay. I cannot reliably play it unfortunately.
This game looks really well, but at least for me it's not playable yet. I used the 5.13 Steam play version and had to update my Nvidia drivers to make the game work. I was able to resolve the graphics issues, but the frequent crashes make the game unplayable for me
After the patches, the game is great! Play it
Very slight out of sync audio, but happens rarely.
The game actually runs well now. While initially I had HUGE stability issues, I've had no problems while playing now, after the fixes. The game is in a stable state right now and can be enjoyed.
This game works well, but it is made with a controller in mind. You can only use keyboard, no mouse.
Overall, the game is playable if you don't mind the blurry text and rare FPS drops. I like it
I tried playing with the settings, but most of the text in menu/pop-ups is pretty blurry and can be annoying, but it is kinda readable. When chatting with villagers it is better, but still kinda blurry.
The graphics look a little bit worse than on PC, despite playing with different settings and framerate.
I played on 30 and 40 FPS and in some areas (like next to the Observatory), it drops to 1 FPS for 2-3 seconds. Otherwise, game runs fine.
I play on 8.0.3 and the game runs perfectly fine, have had no problems aside rare FPS drops
Certain areas (like the Observatory) drops the FPS hard for 2-3 seconds.
This is a great game, works well with a little tinkering. Used DX11 as launch option, DX12 crashes
WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1 %command%
The game is really great and the story is very interesting. These tinkering options worked for me, I tried other things that people wrote, no luck.
Game is really great for the steam deck, I myself struggled with the controls as they are many of them and clicking on the L and R is not comfortable to me. Otherwise great game that needs quick reactions.
The game runs perfectly out of the box. Sometimes the initial loading screen is slow.
Amazing game, highly recommend playing on your own or with friends.
After about 50h on a save, when getting near islands I get a few seconds of frame drops.
When a new area loads, there is a little bit of lag.
Random crashes occur in the loading screen when moving to a new area.
The game works great out of the box and it's really awesome
Game is really great, basically Subnautica, but on land + the Green Planet DLC from Suviving Mars. Works great and have had no issues until now.
Aside from the Fullscreen problem, I haven't had any problems with the game, it works great.
As others have said, when you play the game in Fullscreen, you cannot Alt+Tab. Windowed Mode didn't really work for me.
With the changes listed, found by the community, the game can be enjoyed nicely, Solo or Co-op. Haven't had any major problems since the fix
DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command
Copied the stun_steamnetworking.dll
file from the free game Battlerite Royal under BattleriteRoyale_Data/Plugins/ to both VRising_Server/VRisingServer_Data/Plugins/x86_x64
and VRising_Data/Plugins/x86_64
Very slight lag from time to time.
The game crashed once when I clicked on "Exit to Desktop".
As long as you use the launch command or start Steam from the terminal, the game works great.
Launch commands PROTON_LOG=0 %command%
Very rarely, some memory leaks seem to affect the game on start.
PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
This is a general issue, not Linux. Once you pass the 15 min mark and there are many things on the screen, the game has degraded graphics.
This is a general issue, not Linux. Once you pass the 15 min mark and there are many things on the screen, the game starts lagging.
Without putting the launch command, as soon as the game starts you receivve an error message. As the game gets more perfomance updates, the issues after the 15 min should be resolved (not just a Linux issues).
