Inputs get "sticky" when I hold alt. Could just be my window manager interaction though.
Like the title says, you have to use an older version of Proton (4.11 or older) to fix the "held items are transparent" glitch. Game runs great afterward.

The only thing that I noticed that isn't working is the Miner's Union panel. The Discord integration doesn't seem to work, so you are unable to join a Miner Union in-game.

Mouse pointer stays on screen. You could hide it using something like unclutter if it bothers you.
My social functions in-game don't work. My friend on Windows has a functioning social menu.
I have had no issues with starting the game in fullscreen mode using a nvidia card and i3wm. My only issue is with social functions.
Updating my previous review: if your social menu doesn't populate it's because you have your privacy settings too strict. Game still runs great and I have experienced very few crashes.
A new era of black screens
Game is broken right now as of the new engine update. Game starts, sits at a black screen, then closes. There's an ongoing discussion on the Proton Github issue for Hunt: Showdown, but there are no workarounds or fixes as of posting this review.
Proton Experimental [bleeding-edge] allows you to launch and play the game. Find Proton Experimental in your library, right click, properties, betas, bleeding-edge. Set Hunt: Showdown 1896 to launch with Proton Experimental.

Deleted startup videos.
Proton-GE mediafoundation fixes didn't work. Had to delete videos at steamapps/common/Pacific Drive/PenDriverPro/Content/Movies
Video issue seems to not happen to everyone. YMMV
PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 %command%
Use Proton Experimental or monitors in-game will not play videos that are crucial to gameplay. Otherwise the game runs great.
Runs well
Steam vent textures appeared in my first play of the game, then disappeared on subsequent startups. Not sure if that's because of a proton update or what. I tried a handful of proton versions and GE and never got that steam texture to reappear. It only appears once in the game, but kills you if you come in contact with it. ¯\(ツ)/¯
Game runs great otherwise.
Like mentioned in another report, use the following commands to install media foundation to get videos to play in game.
export WWB=~/.steam/steamapps/compatdata/1218250/ rm -rf $WWB/* git clone https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install.git $WWB/mf-install git clone https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-installcab.git $WWB/mf-installcab WINEPREFIX="$WWB/pfx" WINEARCH=win64 wine wineboot WINEPREFIX="$WWB/pfx" $WWB/mf-install/mf-install.shs WINEPREFIX="$WWB/pfx" $WWB/mf-installcab/install-mf-64.sh
In-game voice does not work as Vivox does not support Linux.
