Native Support
Although this game has a Linux-native build available, Steam does not list it as having Linux support. This can happen if a game has an unofficial, unfinished, or unsupported build. You may need to force Steam to enable Proton for the game in order to run properly.

Game audio stopped at some point for no apparent reason. Only voice lines and game UI sfx were audible. Probably fixed by restarting
Randomly switched to windowed for no reason. Might not be a Linux issue.
This game is awesome
Гра чудово працює на лінуксі.

Game works really well, i would say better than on windows, i recomend!

Runs well out of the box but needs setup for PlayStation controllers.
Dualsense controller not detected until Steam Input was turned on.
Only Xbox controllers have native support so I needed to turn on support for my Dualsense controller within Steam's settings for the game to recognize it. Xbox controller icons still display while playing but that's not bothersome to me.
No issues, native linux installation. Running better than on Windows 10 in 4K, everything maxed out.

Works at 60 fps/800p from default settings. Last area drops the fps fairly frequent, minor adjustments needed to maintain 60 fps
Perfect SD title

I was unable to launch this game using the native Linux version of the game. However, the game launches and runs without any issues after switching to Proton and enabling the Vulkan beta.

Just a great game on steam deck. Looks beautiful and is fun to play.

Low LOD of scenery in baloons, other than that everything looked flawless

Use the beta code `livelongandprosper` to get access to this 2018 updated build of the native port of the game.
Occasionally, Explosion sounds aren't heard, even when in plain view. Seems to happen with explosions at a certain distance, notably in strongholds. Nothing game-breaking.
Some occasional FPS drop to around 40FPS. Seems perhaps just due to some auto-saving issue which happen on the Windows build as well.
Feral still did a decent job with the Linux build, and still suggest trying it out.

Force proton experiemantal to play normally. Game isn't starting with its default linux version
Game doesn't start, tried multiple Proton versions

You really have to force the use of a Steam Play compatibility tool like the description says since the native build didn't work for me.
Works perfect once setup.

It has some wonky stuff with i3. I put it on its own desktop, but as it took a few moments to load, mod-x to swap to different desktops pulled it to whichever desktop I swapped to. I'd venture that it's more of an i3 issue though, and it shouldn't be an issue for a Linux run with a DE.
I've completed the game without issues using Proton 9.0-2

Runs perfectly out of the box. I recommend playing the game offline to avoid crashes on wake up.
Audio rarely starts crackling when waking the game up from sleep. Chaging the preset in audio settings and then reverting it back seems to fix this.
The game consistently crashes when waking up from sleep after a longer period (~few hours) of time has passed since putting it to sleep. I have been able to resolve this issue by disabling wi-fi before putting the game to sleep.
Works perfectly when kept offline.

PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
I have been playing this game on and off everywhere for years now, but I was never able to run it with an EGPU (RX 6800/NVIDIA 1060 3GB). I confirm it works with PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 on my AMD RX 6800 16GB connected with Razer Core X Chroma

Just run with everything stock. Played half of the game on Windows 10 and now the rest on Linux Mint 21.3 Everything is rock solid
Stability was 100% fine. Didn't noticed any graphics degradation. As for performance compared to windows, the loss was about 5-8%. 0 Stutters
Tried to update drivers to 545 and kernel to 6.5 as well as running in Feral Game Mode, improvements were withing margin of error.
Anyway, fully recommended, it's great, I've moved from Windows to Linux while playing this game and can't notice any issue here in Linux

Funciona perfectamente en la deck, solo de di instalar y a jugar, no hay que configurar nada

Was pretty much perfect besides controllers not working.
I tried playing this game with my Dualsense and my PDP Xbox controller and had issues. My Dualsense would connect, but I would be spinning in circles and buttons were mapped opposite O=enter X=back, making it pretty much unusable. My PDP controller flatout wasn't recognized by the game. Steam controller works, but I ultimately just played with KB+M, controls great though so no lost no foul.
The game itself ran fantastic, was getting way above 60fps and had no stutters, crashing, or anything. Was very smooth. Only issue I had was the controller stuff I talked about above, but it should just work for most everyone else. Some smoke/dust textures pop in and out, but tbh I don't know if it's Linux/Proton issue or if it's a game issue, not anything that ruins gameplay at all, but just a note. Overall a fantastic experience.

The only bug I encountered with this game was outside of the game. After exiting the game, all the Steam menus would disappear in gaming mode until the Steam Deck was fully rebooted.
Absolutely no tinkering required outside of the in-game settings menu. Ran at around 80-90 FPS the whole time occasionally dipping into low 70s on the normal preset. if your target is 60 FPS, then you could definitely bump the preset up to High or even Very High.

had to lower resolution started at 720 and worked my way up to 1440. 720 high settings is playable above 60fps. 900p normal settings playable around 60fps 1080p normal playable around 48 fps
The Intel iris drivers are good but have frame dips very low. sometimes as low as 10fps cause a lack of smoothness when driving

Runs like a charm
Works flawlessly on current version of proton (8.0.5), experimental however doesn't work yet

Works perfectly out of the box. Great game, too.

Der Akku hält auch eine Weile, sogar bei 60 fps.

This game works like a dream right out of the box. No tinkering required. I haven't run into any bugs, crashes, or glitches at all. This is the seamless experience casual users like me hope for with Steamdeck

Worked perfectly out of the box
Nothing to complain with 8.0-4
