Works out of the box but has buggy EA launcher client
The game works but when you start the game first, the EA launcher will open and there will be a popup about admin permissions. The problem is for me that poput is black. To fix this just press "Tab" on that black popup and it should be fixed.

Game works fine. Fineshed in 5hrs. EA Play asks for admin permission and game wont run on proton 8. to fix this use latest proton experimental or latest GE Proton. And select yes when EA asks to run game as admin.
EA broke the game again. Fails at new EA launcher install.
Tried different versions of proton, reinstalls.
The game launches in to the Origin Launcher, a black rectangle appears in front of it.

OOTB I didn't get past the EA launcher.
Instead of tinkering with this version, I went ahead and purchased the remastered edition and it was flawless and the remastered version doesn't have that annoying/borked EA launcher.
Game used to work, now "This game requires administrative priviledges"
Tried multiple Proton builds
Seems to be related to the new EA app being complete garbage. Sad to witness.
After install in first run got message "Admin privileges required", after click ok nothing happens.

After owning this game in my Steam account for a few years unplayable, some updates to EA Origin seems to have solved previous bugs trying to launch the game. This is finally playable on Fedora!

Plays pretty close to the same performace as Windows
Had to decrease video quality from "Very High" to "High" for the game to be playable at 60fps.
Crysis 3 performs just as well as it has when I was running Windows and a stable 60fps.
Unable to adjust brightness
Set overall graphics quality to Medium for a consistent frame-rate. I usually get around 60fps

Игра не захотела работать с Vulkan (DXVK and VKD3D) пришлось запускать под OPENCL в остальном все отлично и без проблем
The artifacting is horrendous
Oh man, artifacts on artifacts on artifacts. I'm using a 6700XT right now, but I've noticed the exact same behavior with my 6900XT
Sometimes it gets stuck on an Initialization screen when I try to Resume Game. Not that I would want to actually play the game in the state that its in when I try to play it.

Zero tinkering, haven't read through other reports yet but I'll update after I do some tinkering.
Runs fantastic, I'm going to have a lot of fun with this one.
After getting it going it works really well. I had to do the first run on Proton, but it had some minor graphical anomalies. After switching to a GE build of Proton things worked absolutely perfectly. Getting it started might be the tricky spot for some as you do need an Origin account and it does have graphical glitches on the normal Proton.

Considering my mid-range hardware the game ran smoothly with Very High settings and motion blur off, but geometry glitching (textured triangles popping up all over the show) made it unplayable - I'll experiment with different versions of proton as I've only tried using Experimental

Not on Proton, not on Proton GE, nothing shows up, game refuses to start up at all.

I tried all Proton versions provided by Steam/Valve but none of them worked. Only proton-ge-custom-bin 6.14_GE_2-0 worked flawlessly.
The entire body of some characters (e.g. Psycho) is gone, only the head is visible. Game is totally playable but still somewhere between funny and annoying.
Remember to install 32bit drivers for the game to launch (actually for the Origin installer to launch which is a prerequisite)

Sometimes freezing on hacking sequence one to disable the laser fence in the Dam and one when activating the drone during the final boss battle.
Worked out of the box after fresh install. Only started it up and went into tutorial, so far no problems occured. .

Had an issue with Alt+Tab, the game went from full screen to windowed mode. Yet only 15minutes of time invested into it, will update my entry when I have more time to play the game and tinker around. . As with other Origin title, it took a while to load Origin client. It complained about a folder, but just ignored that.
Goes through the "Preparing to launch" steps, game never starts.
Proton 5.13-2 (5.0-10 did not work either) Origin installation/startup seems to be failing and the game never starts. With system wine Origin seems to start however the game asks for credentials (expected i guess)

Origin takes a lot of patience and effort to install, then the game refuses to launch. Epic fail
Stuttering and massive frame drops are the major issue here.
The mentioned problems occur every few seconds, which makes gameplay not very amusing.
Massive fps drops and stutters. I've even updated the nvidia driver (which is a pain in the arse) and it didn't resolve the issue. I know the hardware can take it. I've played this game on Windows a few years ago and it worked like a charm, considering my older hardware and the windows performance bottleneck.
I'd love to give it a new try with an upcoming version of Proton. You've obviously fixed the problems related to the Origin Client, so I'm confident. :)

Runs perfectly after installing, no configuring needed. Just works.
EA Origin runs in the background, eating up your RAM and it's even buggy, it 'splits' into like 6 different windows and none of them make any sense. Before the game launches, Origin could even be usable, but after launching the game it just becomes this buggy mess that only exists to eat up your resources in the background. It didn't have an impact on my in-game performance however, but someone with little RAM might run into some issues.
Game and origin installed fine. Origin would crash every few minutes though. Ended up having to add "clearcpuid=514" to the kernel parameters for it to launch correctly.

I have tried running as admin still no luck I would love to know how people are playing this game my own research has not given me any solutions.
