Tent bug on Chapter 6: https://steamcommunity.com/app/752590/discussions/0/2921102177244545448/
In my case, I had to turn Vsync off to pass that point
Solid performance on a 2080ti via DXVK async. 100+ FPS most of the times.
AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV DXVK_ASYNC=1 MANGOHUD=1 gamemoderun %command%
Crackling audio in the main menu when the mouse hovers over an entry - no problems found whilst in game
Rare texture flickering here and there, totally acceptable
Had to start the game once with the current stable Proton to make Ubisoft Connect work, then I could run it with Proton-GE after that.
Steam Overlay crashes the game for me (when the cd-key appears), so I had to disable it.
Except for those two points, the game runs smooth at Ultra (average of 120fps on my hardware, no crashes).
DXVK_ASYNC=1 WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1 gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Unlocked FPS and set it to my display's refresh rate (144)
The game crashed only once in a side mission - random crashes seems to be a known problem.
The game runs great on my hardware.
Micro-stuttering was solved by using DXVK_ASYNC=1 on Proton GE.
I recommend removing the FPS cap to have a smoother experience.
To get a nice FPS boost, I've used AMD FSR 1.0 - really helps when you're gliding around town!
AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV DXVK_ASYNC=1 MANGOHUD=1 gamemoderun %command%
- Crosshair felt like it was locked at 60fps, whilst the game was running at 144fps (Vsync -> High)
- Flickering light at the beginng felt broken - I could see the texture squares
Mouse sensitivity was completely off, and the sensitivity option in the menu works only for controllers... Figures!
Bendy icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen would not disappear - after playing for 45 minutes, I realized the game did not save once, and in the menu I would only see NEW GAME after that.
Love the game, the story and the characters, but it needs a few QoL improvements to be enjoyed on Linux
AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV DXVK_ASYNC=1 MANGOHUD=1 gamemoderun %command%
The wine prefix lacks a vital AppData folder - LocalLow - so the game doesn't save/load properly until it is created.
Fix here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1063660/discussions/0/3594464430424148026/
Runs smooth as butter now!
MANGOHUD=1 %command%
Running did not work out of the box with a controller. Open the Steam Input settings, and set the left joystick curve from Linear to Aggressive, and make sure Dead Zone is set to "No Dead Zone"

When leaving the crematorium (right after the prologue), if you have DLSS on and walk to the right, the game will crash. Turn off DLSS when reloading the game, leave the crematorium area, and then turn it on again.
AND FSR 1.0 works nicely too, but the resulting image is way too sharp compared to DLSS
Needs work from Techland. The stuttering affecting the game (on both Linux and Windows platforms) ruins the experience.

DirectX 12 mode (VKD3D-Proton) should be avoided, because of unexpected slowness - people also mentioned a bug with RTX implementation, but I haven't personally tested it. DXVK works fine with minor to negligible stuttering, but after 1-2 hours of playing, the games goes crazy and there's spikes in the frametime that will make the game unplayable. Friends on Windows are experiencing the same, so it seems to be game-related.
There's plenty of bugs when playing coop (i.e. chests not opening, door opened but appearing closed etc...), but those are game-related.
AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV MANGOHUD=1 DXVK_ASYNC=1 gamemoderun %command% -nologos
Graphic profile set to High Quality (D3D11 / No Upscaling): Game seems jittery despite 100+ FPS. Tested also on stable Proton - same result.
The only fix for this was to set FSR 2.0 to quality mode - and the jitter disappears.

Linux kernel >=6.3 dropped DS4 support from "hid-sony" - to install the officialy supported module, enable CONFIG_LEDS_CLASS_MULTICOLOR and then CONFIG_HID_PLAYSTATION in your kernel configuration.
For Gentoo systems:
https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Sony_DualShock
(Check BlueZ + udev sections if using bluetooth)
EAC not being initialized:
- Make sure to install EAC runtime from Steam.
- (Gentoo only) Add "hash-sysv-compat" USE flag to "sys-libs/glibc", emerge and restart.
Game not starting: sometimes the game doesn't start after the EAC splash screen. Just stop it and keep trying, it will eventually.
MANGOHUD=1 %command%
Steam overlay appears on the EasyAnticheat splash screen, and it's not available in game
Works like charm - both when hosting and when joining a game
Stable 60fps at maximum settings - RT works too, but may introduce performance degradation during fights, so I keep it disabled.
Using a 8BitDo Ultimate Wired Controller for Xbox - works out of the box, vibration included.
MANGOHUD=1 %command% --use-d3d11
Game does not boot when in fullscreen mode, see other reviews here on how to disable it
Significant performance issues when using D3D12 (VKD3D-Proton), especially when playing bot missions. System would randomly hang (for a fraction of a second) with these dmesg entries:
[drm] Fence fallback timer expired on ring comp_1.1.0
Had occasional crashes with uncapped framerate, or when the GPU is pushed too hard.
Capping the framerate helped solving this (90fps).
Game matchmaking is bugged, also number of online users is capped until Arrowhead fixes the oustanding issues.
Needs Proton Experimental or Hotfix to properly run

Mouse wheel (when building or using the officer's whistle) not working on Native version - works on Proton
Native version (Vulkan) underperforms on my GPU and sends the temperatures to the roof (86C).
Multiplayer experience was great, both on Native and Proton

The game is still in early access, and not really optimized, so this is expected - it slows down when fog is on screen (mob effects, activating a strongbox, etc...) and when opening a breach.
Once the effect is over / breach is closed, it all goes back to normal.
Played via Proton Experimental and Optiscaler to enable DLSS .
gamescope -e -f -r 60 -- env VKD3D_FEATURE_LEVEL=12_2 VKD3D_CONFIG=dxr11 mangohud %command%
Had to use Gamescope to make resolution changes in Fullscreen mode - they would have frozen the game otherwise
Decent performance but I can't really notice the difference between the old DX11/no-RT version and the new one - either they look identical or I need a new pair of glasses.
P.S. As /r/Rhed0x mentioned here the VKD3D_FEATURE_LEVEL environment variable is required in order to be able to switch RTX on
Stable 60fps, gorgeous graphics. Episode 4 seems to be unoptimized when it comes to lighting, so expect slowdowns there.

Lightining / shadows are quite heavy - you may experience slight FPS drops in heavy illuminated areas.
Tested only on DirectX 11 (DXVK), as I couldn't launch it with DirectX 12 (VKD3D-Proton) enabled.
Profile set: Ultra (AMD FSR 2.0 / Quality).
The game runs smoothly (between 90 and 144 fps) in most areas, with just a few FPS drops in areas that use a lot of complex lightning / shadows.
gamescope -e -w 1920 -h 1080 -W 2560 -H 1440 -U -f -r 60 -- env DXVK_ASYNC=1 mangohud %command%
A few hiccups here and there when a new scene is loaded - audio desync sometimes, but it adjusts itself after a bit. The GPU was also burning at 1440p (max details), so I scaled it down to 1080p and applied AMD FSR 1.0 via Gamescope to have reasonable temperatures.
The launcher updates itself the first time the game is launched. If it gives an error after the update, just close the game and restart it, and it should work.
DXVK_ASYNC=1 mangohud %command%
Tested using ProtonGE (with DXVK in async mode). Smooth as butter @1440p. No issues found.
