-USEALLAVAILABLECORES -d3d12 -high
Ensure game has been launched at least once with selected proton version. From desktop mode, open /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1096570/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/SongOfHorror/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/GameUserSettings.ini and set FrameRateLimit to 60.000000. Save and set the following launch command for the game's properties in Steam: -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -d3d12 -high
-Resolution: 1280x720 -Fullscreen ticked -Render Quality: 100% -Shadow Quality: High -Post-processing Quality: Medium -Effects Quality: Medium -Anti-aliasing: Medium -vsync, chromatic aberrations, and film grain disabled
I have the framerate for this game limited via Steam OS to 30 FPS/90 Hz. I can bump it up to 40 FPS but it gets kind of inconsistent and the game plays well at 30 FPS so far.
I was having some framerate dips in episode 1, namely in the front foyer under the 2nd floor staircase near the door that leads to the garage/basement/servant quarters; it would consistently dip to the low 20 FPS in this area. I'd get other random dips throughout but that area seemed to be the worst.
Found no issues
OPENSSL_ia32cap=0x20000000 %command%
Game crashes on CPU's with SHA extensions (basically recent Intel CPU's), unless you use the launch option. This is because of a OpenSSL bug in the Unreal Engine (same crash would occur on Windows too).

Proton-6.16-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Runs fine out of the box.

6.1-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Slight aliasing problems
Runs a little slower than on Windows
Proton-6.1-GE-2. It did not work for me on any later versions of Proton-GE. Mf-install is also a headache. The game stalls on a black screen for about half a minute before the splash shows (my game is downloaded on an XFS 7200rpm HDD though so ymmv.) It runs at 60+ fps on max settings 4k on my 6800xt, but still seems a little sluggish compared to Windows.
Black screen on start

Works not all with Standard Proton.
Works with GE.

Have only started playing under Linux with the EP5 and replayed EP1. One crash in EP5 (that didn't cost me any progress) and no issue else.
Proton-5.8-GE-2-MF Glorius Eggroll GloriousEggroll
The MediaFoundation codec pack that comes integrated in the custom Proton version I use is crucial for the video playback in the game to work, which is actually required for the game to even start properly.

5.9-GE-3-ST GloriousEggroll
Runs poorly on Medium/High settings.
I can only achieve a stable 60 fps on Low settings 1920x1080. I have not tried other drivers, any advanced tweaks. PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 and PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 do not seem to have any effect.

Stable 60fps, gorgeous graphics. Episode 4 seems to be unoptimized when it comes to lighting, so expect slowdowns there.
5.8-GE-2-MF GloriousEggroll
Proton-5.8-GE-2-MF
Install Windows Media Foundation from https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install to make the game run and play cut scenes. Beside this, the game runs very fine

For me it also on launches into a black screen.
Tried PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1, PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 and -onethread to no avail.

Black Screen on start. won't even play the intro movies
