At first, the game did not work when I was running Linux Mint. But after switching to CachyOS, the game was running perfectly again. Though sometimes it does buffer a bit.

force_vk_vendor=-1 %command%
Game would not boot without launch options

Great performance across the board, no issues whatsoever and works out of the box without any tinkering
45hz, 60fps cap, Medium Graphic Settings, no VSync, Realtime Reflection, SSAO, FSR 2.1: Quality on Scale 1.0
If you priotise battery life I would recommend playing at 45hz but if you want smooth graphics then bump it to 60/90hz although 60 should be good enough to enjoy the game without any unstable fps

Game runs out of the box
Completed the game without any issue.
Works perfect out of the box. I've been playing on high graphics settings in docked mode and it's great.

Use protontricks and add dinput8 and winmm if you want to install mods via Shin Ryu Mod Manager.
Work so well like it's in Windows but alt-tab doesn't even work properly, besides that I have no complaints.

mangohud gamemoderun gamescope -W 3840 -H 2160 -f -- %command%
Running the game with gamescope fixes being unable to Alt+Tab out of the game
When I accidentally select the "DLC Available" banner/ad at the bottom of the phone menu (pause screen), the game seems to no longer respond to input. I haven't found a way to fix this apart from reopening the game
Apart from what's stated above, the game pretty much runs like a native game

Perfect out of the box
Works perfectly out of the box even with RGG Mod manager.

Works out of the box with proton 8 and above
Real yakuza use a gamepad

Added winmm.dll to the game's prefix using winecfg. Only needed when installing mods.
opening the "DLC available" option at the bottom of the phone menu frequently locks up the game. Forcing steam overlay off guarantees the hard lock. Looks to be reported by windows users so it's been a longstanding bug. Fixed with the "Pause screen ad remover" mod, see tinker steps above for extra info.
after playing for a couple of hours sometimes it crashes

gamemoderun RADV_PERFTEST=ext_ms %command%
No longer need to use Proton 7.0-6 to avoid GPU hanging bug.

Fixed by reverting to older proton version, they did some wizardry there
Really weird reverting to old proton versions fixes all the crashes on loading screens/in general

Ran fine out of the box for months then started constantly crashing, switching to 7.06 fixed this
I played the whole of lost judgment with no tinkering and no problems, then shortly after starting kaito files at the end of July I started to get constant crashes, but switching to 7.06 has fixed this.

Sometimes the game runs slowly, a reboot fixes that
The game crashes when looking up to the sky. Like others have mentioned, the only fix is to switch to the steam default Proton 7.0-6

Would freeze sometimes, and if non manually closed would crash the deck forcing a reboot
Should be playable, not verified status. Still mostly playable on deck, just save a lot to avoid progress loss

Peak game in the franchise, works on linux without any issues

MANGOHUD=1 gamemoderun %command%
I got the same issue as a previous user before me using Proton 8.0+ (even the GE variant)
The moment i tried looking up in the sky in a specific direction, the GPU would hang and the game would crash.
The fix was to switch it to the default Steam Proton 7.0.6 and now the game hasn't crashed once for me.
Since an older proton version works... I would bet that this is something related to VKD3D. I tried locking the framerate to 60.... tried reducing graphical options.... tried increasing the power to my GPU... all of them crashes in the same way
Maybe it's something only related to the Radeon 7900 series GPU.

When attempting starting a New Game/New Game Plus, on the first load screen after the disclaimer game consistently crashes my deck and reboots into a slow/bugged version of game mode.
If anyone finds a solution please post it here, trying to circumvent it by starting new game on PC
50hz 50 FPS cap, 60 in-game fps cap. V-sync off, Realtime Reflection+SSAO off with FSR 2.1 Quality
Characters a bit too small for CHT version.
Battery consumption is huge (~90min of gameplay)
Nobody else seems to be reporting this or experiencing it, but if you're experiencing the issue I am try proton 7.0-6.
On any proton version other than 7.0 if you are in kamurocho in the daytime and face south and look up a little towards the sky the game doesnt just crash it causes my cpu to hang and my system to crash. It is so weirdly specific. I do get a more steady framerate with experimental so it's a bit of a shame but otherwise the game does run well.
Using a different version of proton isnt end of the world level tinkering, but I know I initially suspected some faulty setting in the game or even my own hardware before trying GE which also had the same bug, and then down from experimental to 7.0.6. Since the game has denuvo trial and error is also a hassle since if you crash 5 times you gotta wait 24 hours before you can play the game again.
Crashing during some cutscenes and some minigames.
Hair rendering looks a bit weird, but doesn't affect any gameplay
GE-Proton7-43. Finished DLC story (The Kaito Files). Medium graphic setting with FSR2 turned on, played in 720p. Overall the game can maintain 60fps, sometimes moving between 40~60fps in town (especially in town random battles), but not to a point that it would affect gameplay.
Some flickering in out of focus areas during the visual novel style cutscenes
Previous freeze after entering Yokohama 99 is fixed. Some minor graphical errors apparently remain though.
In some cutscenes when Tak is talking on the phone, you need to limit your frame rate to 30 (maybe 60 havent tried). Otherwise it will likely crash. Save often before main story events! You can turn up the FPS when not expecting a cutscene.
Occational crashes that can be circumvented. Lower FPS limit to get past these issues, or skip directly when the cutscene starts if that doesn't work. Works well in all other regards though.
The mobile phone is hard to read on steam deck.
Consistently crashes when entering Yokohama 99.
Every single time I get to the dance club cutscene in Chapter 2, there's two points that will freeze the game every time. Trying to skip the cutscene will also result in a freeze.
I've tried different versions of Proton including GE-Proton7.35, Steam's default, and Forced Experimental, each giving the same result. Earlier versions of Proton don't launch the game at all. Clearing the shader cache also didn't change anything.
Tried Proton 7.0-4, GE7-9, and Experimental
Like others have mentioned, a cutscene when entering the office in Chapter 1 causes the game to freeze in every version of Proton I've tried. It cannot be skipped, as far as I can tell.
Tried with Proton GE7-9, 7.0-4, and Experimental.
No complaints
Other reviews mention a crash/freeze when entering Yokohama 99 in chapter 1. I did not experience this.
A relatively good experience, but has some minor issues that will hopefully be ironed out.
Tried Proton Experimental / Proton 7, no differences.
Noticed this in a two spots on the Original Judgment. But certain transparent textures are fully black. (Kamurochō parking lot's tire marks for example.)
Turn VSync off to fix any fps limit / speed issues on high refresh rate displays. With VSync on FPS limiters do not work (at least on my machine.), and in fact increase the game speed. Turning the FPS Limiter to "Unlimited" fixes this, but causes issues in mini-games. With VSync off, the FPS Limiter functions correctly, and mini-games work with "Unlimited" setting.
So far this game has been an absolute delight.
Refreshrate and FPS locked to 40Hz
Smartphone HUD Elements were hard to read.
Only when running/fighting through the busiest locations in the Game; Game would dip to 35fps
Played this game from the beginning through the end, ran fine, no crashes.
Changed the Graphics Settings to Medium, Texture Filtering to 4x, no VSync, SSAO, Realtime Reflections; FSR 2.0: Quality on Scale 1.0
Always crashes in the cutscene after entering Yokohama 99 roughly 2 hours into the game.
Game runs fine but is plagued by crashes.
Rain on the windows during the intro section of the game were bugged and displayed a white texture that clipped through the building.
I had to boot into windows and play the game on there to get past a crash during a cutscene in chapter 1.
The game runs great just like judgment, however the crashes and texture bugs need to be worked out.
Works well on default settings, FSR 1.0 is enabled by default, but 2.0 offers better quality (less shimering)
FSR unfortunately also scales full screen map view, which makes text labels in it hard to read (disabling it fixes this).
freezing
The game is good overall but after playing for about 2 hours and entering sugiura's place, when the second cutscene ends the game freezes.
I tried to change proton-ge versions and official proton versions but nothing seemed to get the game to go past that one cutscene. otherwise the game worked perfectly.

Ran at Medium settings and typically stays around mid-high 50 fps. Recommended to disable FSR 1.0 and Enable FSR 2.0 to get rid of jaggies around hair
