Runs great out of the box
Weird stuttering when game is saving progress
Only weirdness I've experienced was everytime the game would auto save, it's stutters. Minor annoyance, but doesn't affect actual gameplay and I can't tell if it's on my end. Played through all main games and Game Gear collection, everything works as expected.

just a black screen on launch

If you are like me and keep your Steam games on a separate drive, rest easy knowing that the new Hedge Mod Manager flatpak works with no issues after giving it permission to acces your steamapps/common folder

The game runs fine without any issue out of the box. It also works with mods installed from HedgeModManager ( from time to time the modded game might fail to start, in that case, simply uninstall and reinstall the mod loader from HedgeModManager ).

Black boot, and crash without error
PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
I tried every proton, distro and driver from nvidia. the game is designed to run on my pc but only on windows it seems. while it seems weird too cause i tried even with ProtonGE and it didn't work neither. i just ran out of options and giving up on the game...

the games themselves run really well and even if the menus are a little jarring at first, it's nothing too serious.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 SteamDeck=1 prime-run gamemoderun %command%
stuff like the menus lag a little when switching but it is not a big deal or anything
i have to use the steam deck optimisation flag in order to get the game running for some reason with just proton experimental, if i switch to proton GE the game runs fine without it
No issues as far as I can tell. Even figures out my primary monitor correctly. Exits cleanly.

It sends an error
It says my device does not meet the requred specs, but it does.

Works out of the box.
Follow-up to my previous report, which stated that the game did not launch. After figuring out my issues (NTFS-related errors, not the game's fault) & fixing them by reinstalling the game to an EXT4 drive, the game just fired right up with 0 problems. Ran perfectly, detected my controller no problem.

Did not launch, even after switching drivers from Nouveau to Nvidia
At first I thought my initial crash on startup was because of the fact that my PC defaulted to the Nouveau drivers. Installed the proper Nvidia ones, game still does not boot.

PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
The title screen/main menu is kinda slow
Had to switch to Proton 8.0-5 for keyboard input to work

Keyboard input not working
When the game boots, you have a prompt saying "This title supports autosave...", requiring you to press the confirm button. For me, it shows the "A" button for a controller, but on a keyboard/mouse setup it's meant to show "K".
However, it doesn't recognize any keyboard input and so I can't skip that screen.

Ran like a dream; no complaints here.
No problem with playin em at all. All 4 games and 12 emulated game gear games run great.
Changed to 50 FPS to preserve some battery

Runs fantastic, the only thing I would really recommend is replacing the music files with higher quality ones but it's completely optional.

9W TDP
People may want to use 9W to get even better battery life. Lower than that causes the menu interface to drop frames.

PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
I had to force the use of Nvidia performance mode. The on-demand mode resulted in the games main menu being too slow to use at around 1 FPS.
Works out of the box
It happened once that the menu was loading at a very slow framerate but i think this happened because i had a update, i rebootet my pc and it worked again
sometimes i have to force the game to be closed

Runs so slowly at title screen can't even start game
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
At first it would only fire up a black screen and then crash. So I added PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% The game loads but runs so slowly even loading the title screens, music stutters so much is inaudible. I couldn't even get to the start options.
Somewhat laggy in the museum section, still functions as intended though.
As mentioned i used mods reverse the questionable changes with the OST. it's a simple drag and drop so i highly reccomend it: https://gamebanana.com/sounds/61710
only when using an external display. might just be my monitor though.
Game always crashes with no fail when exiting the game. Need to pkill process to close it. Game will also randomly hang up after every 2-ish hours of gameplay and will need to be terminated and restarted to work again.
It's a very pleasant experience. No gameplay stutters, no slowdowns. Just some random crashing and a guarnateed crash upon game exit make this just short of a great experience on Linux.
Runs extremely well
The application does not close properly when exiting and has to be killed manually.
For whatever reason Sonic Origin hangs on a black screen when I exit to desktop. I have to force close it. Not sure why this occurs.
In spite of using Denuvo, the game runs flawlessly from start to finish, including the animated FMVs. Every game hits a smooth solid 60 fps including FreeSync.
I did not test all features but iplayed it for 58 minutes without any special settings or anything. and did not find any issue so far.
Worked fine without any special treatment
Worked great out of the box
Game works perfectly in all my tests, both with the latest stable Proton 7.0-3 release and with GE-Proton7-20, as well as working perfectly when using Gamescope to run the game at 2160p. Game held a solid 60fps the whole time and ran like native
Runs Perfectly Without Any Tinkering
I was able to launch and play the games in the collection without any issues in both Anniversary Mode and Classic Mode. The side modes (mission mode, story mode, museum) also work without any problems.
Works out of the box on 7.0-3. All games and modes tested, but not completed.
At least with Proton-GE, it simply worked with no issues. There were no audio issues, graphical issues were non-existent, FMVs work without any stuttering and I was able to play through Sonic 1 with no issues from beginning to end with all 6 Chaos Emeralds. I've yet to play the three other games, but the Proton experience has been flawless on my end.
Beware of Denuvo, as it may slow down the game depending on the hardware regardless if it's on Windows or Linux.
Game is having some bad reviews on steam but I feel like this game was made for the steam deck. No tinkering required on my end yet
Solo instalar y jugar (proton 7.0-3)
Doesn't use up much battery either despite Denuvo. One thing I did notice though is that the device felt hotter than I expected when playing the game.
