Shouldn't be verified because of performance issues on standard Proton but DOES work pretty great on GE once shaders are built
Online Party is a bit ""stuttery"" but works as intended.
When using the reccomended Proton version there is a stutter in movement for me like other players have reported, but with GE most of this disappears and the game plays at 60fps sometimes dipping into the high 50s. a 30 lock could possibly work but i'm fine with how it is for me.
Not as bad as it sounds but still needs some external work put into it for a smooth 60fps
Some areas with a lot of particles/effects cause the FPS to go to low 50s unless settings are changed, the settings changes that helped are as follows. Enviroment Quality: Standard Shadow Quality: Performance Effects Quality: Standard Character Quality: Performance, for some reason this can only be on Performance or Very High.
I haven't had any of the issues with mods or instability, just beat subcon forest.
Stable 60FPS is unforutunately unattainble, but 30fps works wonderfully...40 fps might work too but i haven't checked.
Set FPS cap to 30 and set all graphic settings to max
Running the game at 30fps boosts the battery by a large amount, roughly 3 hours worth of battery...even at full graphical quality.
Without Proton GE there will be very noticable stuttering, With Proton GE It can't hold 60 in some areas of the game (Most notably being Nyakuza Metro and the Death Wishes)
Works just fine for me on Online Party mode.
Works great on experimental! X4 FMVs work as far as i know but you will have to forgo the trailers and Day of Sigma. should get better soon!
FMVs for most trailers and Day of Sigma don't work.
Tried the protontricks method mentioned but protontricks kept freezing on me, doing that properly may reap better results.
Experimental now causes all games to show up as a black screen, even though intro FMVs work.
Should get fixed eventually, it's been very on and off with Experimental and these Legacy Collections. Base proton works fine for gameplay but the FMVs all lack audio.
Games work as expected on Experimental, Story can be enjoyed too with crucial FMVs as far as i can tell
Set TDP to 5 instead of 15. Works fine without any notable drawbacks.
FMVs outside of X4 (Day of Sigma and Trailers) do not work at all.
Collection doesn't inherently support the 16:10 ratio of the Deck, can be changed but looks awfully stretched.
A few weeks ago i made a report that the games didn't show any sprites, that has changed since, might change again due to the WIP nature of forced Experimental.
Works great and will only get better...if you're willing to forgo a few FMVs for the time being. All major plot FMVs work as far as i know!
Some minor FMVs (Such as Day of Sigma, most trailers and the intro to Megaman X8 are blank)
I did try the protontrick fix but protontricks kept freezing, might get perfect FMVs if anyone gets that working on the deck.

Seems to work just as well as it would on Windows, i noticed some frame drops in the new third person gamemode but nothing below 60fps.

Aside from Devuno being ass, this is a servicable way to enjoy Persona 3 on steam until the remake drops. Mods make things better though.
Used mods via Reloaded-II, works for all 64 bit Persona titles: https://gamebanana.com/tuts/15409
Set TDP to 4
Mods were used, Reloaded-II works on SteamOS with protontricks after installing it's pre-requsites to the Persona 3 Portable prefix. Worth noting that the default proton can handle the "Cutscenes Restored" mod without any further tinkering.
Some small artifacts were on the screen, nothing game-breaking however.
Cutscenes do not work at all as of the time this was posted, I can imagine that this is prone to change with experimental though.
As of now, Story mode is fucked, cutscenes don't work at all. If you seriously want to play the game just for the combat (which I find to be an amusing prospect) you'd be fine however, I can see this changing in the near future considering the nature of proton experimental...though I HAVE seen people run this on proton 7.0-6...it's just a matter of figuring out what they did differently...expect an updated report when denuvo allows me to run the game again.
Ends up this port was (likely) made with the same codecs as Persona 5 Strikers, so the same fix can be applied.
Used the launch arguments "GST_PLUGIN_FEATURE_RANK=protonaudioconverterbin:NONE %command%"
Lags a pinch in menus.
If the launch arguments are not used, cutscenes will be audioless.
Fun little ZeldaLike, runs OOTB with default proton just fine, resolution has to manually be changed though.
TDP set to 3.
Had to go into the settings and change the resolution to propely get fullscreen working.
Somewhat laggy in the museum section, still functions as intended though.
As mentioned i used mods reverse the questionable changes with the OST. it's a simple drag and drop so i highly reccomend it: https://gamebanana.com/sounds/61710
