I played the linux native version of this game from start to finish without any bug or glitch on steam deck, and without touching anything. Since it's a pixel art 2d game, the device doesn't have performance or battery issue with this game.
The game runs fine most of the times, with occasionally frame drops with a lot of characters on screen, that also happens on my PC with Windows, so it's most likely the game's fault.
The online multiplayer works fine without any problem
This games is perfect for Steam Deck since it runs at 60 fps with every graphics settings set to max ( of course you need to check the battery life ), it has fully controller support and there aren't new bugs or glitches.
The fullscreen function doesn't work correctly for me on Steam Deck. The game was stretched at a wrong resolution, despite the resolution was correctly set in the game's setting. Had to set the game's screen setting to "Without borders", so now it displays correctly.
Other than said issue, the game runs fine on the Steam Deck, outside of some cases where the framerate drops to 40 under heavy moments.
I didn't change anything, and the game run just fine. It's a 2d pixel art game, so it doesn't use a lot of battery.
No issues, and for obvious reason, it has a very low battery usage
Runs perfectly fine on steam deck, played a big part of this game on Linux.
Runs perfectly at 60fps out of the box on Steam Deck. I played it all on Steam Deck from start to finish
Played almost the entire of my playthrough on my Steam Deck without any issue, outside for the framerate being a bit finicky, since in some rooms the framerate drops from 60 to 40-50, but this is due to the graphical settings being set to the highest quality.
I haven't tried online, since I wasn't interested on it, hoever i played the entire game without any issue. My only complain is the framedrops during loading screens, but those also happens on my Windows PC, so I believe it's due to the DRM Denuvo.
Runs perfectly on steam deck, the only "issue" is that the game doesn't run at 16:10 ratio, but that's the game's fault, not proton's. If you want that, you can use this simple guide: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Sonic_Mania#Widescreen_resolution
The game runs fine without any issue out of the box. It also works with mods installed from HedgeModManager ( from time to time the modded game might fail to start, in that case, simply uninstall and reinstall the mod loader from HedgeModManager ).
The game runs without any issue on the Steam Deck, with full controller support, and low battery usage out of the box.
The game runs fine with the Steam Deck in-game preset. There are no bugs/glitches caused by Proton
