Occasional stutters that are bad enough to freeze the game for one to two seconds. Feels like it's correlated with the intensity of visual effects; lowering the FX quality doesn't seem to help much but it does seem to get a little better the longer one plays.

Performance isn't great but its playable whilst keeping the noise down. You can get much higher FPS easily if you are ok with fan noise
FPS Capped at 45, TDP Limited to 10 for the sole purpose of keeping the noise down
Game sometimes booted with a very stretched out image. Only fix was to connect it to a dock and unplug it. Thats the only thing that solved it.
Some games feel fine at lower FPS, some feel awful. This game is the former. FSR 2 On - Balanced V-Sync Off Max framerate 60 Ambiet occlusion off Shadows off (big performance hit) Post processing on Resolution scale 100% (looks hella blurry otherwise) AA - High Post processing High (Both necessary to keep it from looking blurry and muddy) FX - Low The rest all set to medium.
Runs around 40/45 fps with drops to lower 30's
Im usually very critical of these 'perfectly playable' at low fps' claims but on this rare occasion i agree.
Ran around 55/60 fps on mid settings at 'full blast' but got very hot and loud. LCD steamdeck btw.

Perfect
No tinkering, playing this unknown gem is just great on Linux

Game stutters a bit more than on Windows
Game runs perfectly fine OOTB, Performance is slightly worse than Windows but nothing major

-dx11
Would crash on startup for me with an "Assertion Error" with info about Wine C++ Runtime Library vkCreateRayTracingPipelinesKHR. Adding the -dx11 launch options flag allowed me to launch and play the game on either Proton 9.0-3 or Experimental just fine. The game does have some frame dips here and there as others have mentioned but is completely playable.

Really nothing to report here. So far, it works really well.
Also, Fun game, highly recommend.

Can only play the tutorial as the game crashes afterwards.
Crashes everytime trying to skip the first cutscene after the tutorial
Crashes after clearing the tutorial and trying to go past the first cutscene.

Runs pretty much just like on Windows. You'll need good hardware because the game isn't well optimized.
Game has occasional noticeable FPS dips. But this is also the case on Windows, so it's most likely just the game being unoptimized

Changing anything within settings breaks controller support
Cannot change anything in settings. Resolution breaks trying to apply changes and controller input breaks

My previous report about the game not launching if installed on a 2nd drive was a problem with me, not the game. No idea how to remove the error, so I am correcting it with this 2nd report.

This game got a bad rap, but the devs have made good and now it is a blast to play!
1.0 has brought huge performance gains to open world area, but still a little slowdown from time to time. Nothing that impacts gameplay.

Runs Beautifully
Ubuntu 24.04 on proxmox w/gpu passthrough on an RX 6800. Runs out of the box via steam, no special configuration.
Game will crash at start up if you have it on a separate drive from your Linux install.

Screen goes to sleep if there isn't any mouse movement
The first launch with standard Proton just gave me a mouse and black screen and I couldn't even close the game without rebooting the system.
Second launch using ProtonGE worked out of the box with Ultra Settings, no other thinkering needed.

Works perfect!
Works perfectly out of the box. Install and play.

This is after June 2024 Echoes update. Plays well, fps drops to 30ish fps outside but fps improves a lot in dungeons. Settings are a mixture of med/high. The must have video settings imo are AA high, FSR on, resolution 76-80, shadows on med (whatever makes them not blocky). Enjoyabe experience.

Perfect experience out of the box, no tinkering needed at all.
No stuttering, no random fps drops, perfect frame time graph. It just works.

Works perfectly!
Honestly not much to say here. Just install and play. Game's operformance is perfect if not beyond Windows and I've had no issues whatsoever.

Runs perfectly with no tinkering. Just install and enjoy some dungeon crawling.
The only thing worth noting is that on first launch it seems the shaders are compiling. It runs at like 5fps and I just give it 10 seconds and it comes right. Sometimes I will hit escape and go back and its perfect.
Game runs really well and worth playing!

Game works flawlessly, performance could be better but this is expected from a game in early access
gamemoderun PROTON_NO_D3D12=0 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 %command%
AMD FSR makes the game textures look blurry, turning it off fixes this
Stuttering/low FPS when entering the game world each time, only lasts 10-20 seconds before becoming very smooth
Current patch version 0.1.12.0, Current game version #159036

None of the animations work, I only get a black screen. Also performance is not as expected on my hardware (but it's not horrible).
Their server still have issues.

Needs optimization. Graphics substandard on Linux.
On Windows, I can play this on Ultra. On Linux, I play on low to get the same consistent gameplay.
I wouldn't play this game in dungeons on anything higher than low graphics settings with my system.

Button prompts will sometimes switch between keyboard and controller
Cutscenes will not load. Whenever I enter one, there will just be a black screen. You can still skip them by holding the B button but they will not play even after waiting a good 5 minutes

EAC error past Tutorial kicks you out of game.
EAC client not active error with multiplayer.
when trying to load multiplayer areas it gives "anti-cheat client not active (nullclient) you were kicked from server" error and kicks you to login screen.

only problem is that the cutscenes wont play(you can still skip them by holding down esc)
Tried multiple proton versions, none of them managed to get the EAC loading window to show up, and eventually the game just stops

Settings in the video here https://youtu.be/s5OUEyQWEKY
Using standard proton the initial cut scenes don't play hence switching to GE Proton
Game works great on the Steam deck with some tinkering for the best settings all round which you can follow in this video to see how it performs and the settings used https://youtu.be/s5OUEyQWEKY. Be aware they are having massive load issues and login times are excessive right now

Medium settings and capped at 40fps
Game chat and most window text was small. Option for extra large helped a bit.

It seems others have had no problems just using Proton Experimental, but I had to use GE-Proton to get past the initial loading screen. I'll chalk it up to a me problem. Other than that, it seems to be working fine.

matchmaking was flawless with no issues. Fully responsive when grouped with others
Ran with the DX11 option since my hardware is mid-range

Game is in beta, using DX12, likely bugs in game (and maybe DX12 issues because DX11 fixed)
game is still in closed beta, so who knows where it will go from here
