Played with a PS5 controller front-to-back with no issues and great performance after game was up and running.
Tinker Steps:Custom Proton: GE-Proton7-27, Set launch options
PROTON_SET_GAME_DRIVE=1 %command%
Wouldn't work out of the box with Proton experimental. Switched to GE and set launch options and it ran flawlessly afterwards.

Overall (online):Excellent
It seems others have had no problems just using Proton Experimental, but I had to use GE-Proton to get past the initial loading screen. I'll chalk it up to a me problem. Other than that, it seems to be working fine.
