It sometimes stutters when shaders are being loaded, not a big deal
Works OOTB
When I Shift+Tabbed in a cutscene the sound went missing, apart from that a excellent experience

It is a good experience!
Alt-Tab sometimes crashes the game for me, but can be circumvented by using Alt+Enter to go into windowed mode
When you play with a controller and press buttons in the initial loading of the game before you enter the main menu the game crashes
Crashes on initial launch when buttons on controller are pressed and on alt tabbing
After like 15 minutes game crashes whole system
Crashed my whole system
Game does not perform good at all on my RX 6600 with latest Proton, unplayable experience
When using a controller and selecting gear with the numpad buttons, the mouse cursor will appear and only disappear when clicking a mouse button
The game is unplayable, very low framerates
Proton-7.1-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases/tag/7.1-GE-2
Unplayable, the fps drops down to 12 in severe cases and the game is not responsive at all, horrible experience
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 gamemoderun %command%
When I had the game on a external SSD connected via usb 3.0 my usb DAC would produce cracking audio in the game, after moving to internal M2 the crackling was gone.
When using a controller, the mourse cursor sometimes will appear in the middle of the screen, use the tool unclutter to hide the cursor when idle
FPS drops, never stable 60, more like 45-50 in Mountain Knot sometimes as low as 18 when limited to 30
The game would crash when loading the game map if there is less than 10gb ram available, I have 8gb and I had to enlarge my swap for it to work
Unable to reach 60FPS
Controller configuration sucks!
Tabbing out and back in makes cursor always visible on top
Input is what makes this game unplayable in my opinion, it's just horrible, needs a lot of tinkering to get it going and still then it is not good at all. RPCS3 version plays with less fps but better controls
not enjoyable
ps5 controller pad was incorrectly mapped
Low FPS
Install Windows to play this game
DXVK_ASYNC=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 gamemoderun %command% -nostartupmovies
The character textures sometimes look a bit weird, don't know if this is a proton thing or maybe just how the game looks, definetly no big deal!
On my specific setup I had to start with DXVK_ASYNC=1 because otherwise the game would stutter, apart from this no problems at all
I had to modify the boot config for the final fantasy launcher, see previous reports on how to do it
The tinkering required is unbearable, Square Enix should be ashamed
Imagine wanting to invite your friend to a party, but you can't because game needs xbox game bar
Switching from Fullscreen to windowed and back renders the game unusable and also killed my xserver, not recommended
The game likes to crash from time to time, not easy to pinpoint the problem, happens randomly
Since the xbox game bar does not show up on Linux you have to add friends via the website of xbox and if you don't see your friend you have to sign out from the main menu and sign in again, otherwise it doesn't get synced
The game itself runs pretty well but the missing xbox game bar and the connected functionality for online gameplay makes it a not so great experience overall, but this is completely multiplayer based, the singleplayer apart from the crashes works very well.
Game runs flawless, like native
PS4 Controller was detected by Steam but not working in Hades, I guess the fix was to also enable Xbox Support in the general Controller settings in Steam.
With certain launch options the game would start on the second monitor in a dual monitor setup instead of the primary display, this can be fixed by going into the settings and changing fullscreen to borderless and back to fullscreen or leave it at borderless!
The launch options I used: gamemoderun PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 WINEESYNC=0 mesa_glthread=true %command%
Don't know if gamemode actually helps with the performance or not, since it doesn't make it worse I kept it.
The game was stuttering without the launch options even though fps were okay (around 90-120)
Also tested it with Proton-5.9-GE-5-ST worked flawless aswell
It worked out of the box for me, only thing is bring patience while first time initial setup, it takes a while
The game sometimes stutters and drops fps, maybe a ingame setting related thing
Perfect
On Mope Mope it might lag for a bit when you slide your way through the dimensions but not a big deal
Proton-6.10-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
To all the people having the greenscreen bug in the game: I was able to resolve this bug by removing the package amdvlk
from my system, this completely removed the graphical degradation and made the game perfectly playable with very good performance!
I had it installed because it was a optional dependency for lutris, if you don't depend on it you can try to remove it.
Hope I could help!
The mouse cursor always appears in the middle of the screen when a controller is used.
The fps would not go higher than 38 no matter what, I suspect this to be a driver issue after all because it was working before just fine!
Green screen and denuvo max device hit
Game loaded into the actual game but it was all just green with the latest proton-ge also after trying several protons I hit the denuvo machine limit :) fuck you denuvo
Game crashes immediately after clicking Play
Something about Shader compilation failed, sadly uplayable
The game will crash for me if I use any other start option than "Play Safe Mode (No Mods)"
If you have this problem where it crashes right after the fmod screen you should try to play in safe mode.
Works pretty good for me, almost like native
Right at the initial bootup there was this tv test screen coming up but I never saw a glitch like this again
The fps sometimes drop in heavy areas to like 50 but stabilizes itself after a couple of seconds
headed over to/steamapps/compatdata/969990/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Pineapple/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/ and modified GameUserSettings.ini to limit the framerate to 60 instead of 144, so my laptop doesnt get too hot
Works good, give it some time and micro stutter will be gone
When forcing proton to use D3D11 all the faces will be very dark, also performance will be significantly better
The Gnome 3 dash on the left was visible at all times, I just used window mode at a lower resolution
Micro stuttering
Runs pretty good, except for the controller thing
With Proton 6.3-5 my PS4 controller did not work at all
Multiplayer doesn't work
Game plays perfectly fine for me except for the Multiplayer part, no matter what, I can't connect and play online via Proton
gamemoderun %command%
Game stutters every 2-3 minutes when a new area is loaded into the game
DXVK_ASYNC=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 gamemoderun %command%
Works out of the box
Game has some performance issues
In Proton 6.3-5 the visual c++ runtime didn't download, in Proton-GE it worked flawless
It just works
Audio begins to crack if you open steam overlay and look something up in the browser
Sometimes the fps will drop when you run into hordes of enemies
