The game launches fine once I set my proton version to the 9.0 beta.
DLSS and Ray Tracing were not showing as available in the settings.
The game works well under x11, but in a wayland session there was lots of artifacting and distortion when moving my character and/or the camera.
Overall it is playable, but there is still some work to be done to make the game run flawlessly. I didn't tinker much to avoid triggering the denuvo anti-tamper.
My main character is an infernalist witch. Demon form sometimes causes the game to ctd, but this seems to be a common issue across operating systems.
Borderless fullscreen caused the game to black screen and crash, fullscreen worked no problem. This was on wayland KDE 5, I haven't tested with X11 KDE 5.
Game launches without the need for any startup commands if you play without OBSE and don't care about hardware ray tracing.
eval $( echo "PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 %command%" | sed 's+OblivionRemastered.exe+/OblivionRemastered/Binaries/Win64/obse64_loader.exe+g' )
I needed to do some digging to find a way to launch the game with OBSE, but the above command works perfectly.
To use hardware raytracing on NVidia, you need to allow the game to see your nvidia gpu.
Otherwise works perfectly, didn't need any commands to start and run normally. It even works with mods installed as long as they are just ESPs or texture mods that don't require the script extender.
