LD_PRELOAD="" gamescope -f -w 1920 -h 1080 -- gamemoderun %command%
Native version has some windowing quirks which i use gamescope to work around. With gamescope the game drops to like 20 fps after a little bit unless you add the LD_PRELOAD="" line. If you play on the stable branch, the input system is completely busted and won't register correctly if you press multiple keys at once. You can also just run it with proton and none of these issues will come up.
Game just works with no problems at all
works best on native, works well with mods

Works out of the box
LD_PRELOAD="$LD_PRELOAD:/usr/lib/mangohud/libMangoHud_opengl.so:/usr/lib/libgamemode.so" prime-run %command%

This games is just click and play no tweaks needed, and runs better on linux than windows.
LD_PRELOAD="$LD_PRELOAD:/usr/lib/mangohud/libMangoHud_opengl.so:/usr/lib/libgamemode.so" prime-run %command%

Works perfectly out of the box
Multiplayer works perfectly. Both hosting and joining.

Just works
Required a few restarts to work but other than that no issues

Works on my machine™

game with mods freezes for about 10 seconds randomly, and when starting, white screen till i press f11
The game is good in general. Also the controls are easy to use. I got confused with the start with the X and Y buttons mixed up, but it was an easy fix
Majestic native port!
Played with mods, everything works just fine

Fullscreen will only render in 640x480, must be played in Windowed Mode, which is also kind of iffy. Needs opening then closing again to get resolution to load properly. Also will only run in native resolution of monitor. Meaning if the monitor is 4k you can't change the resolution below that.
Occasional slowdown.
You cannot load the game in fullscreen or it will only render in 640x480. Setting the game to Window Borderless forces native resolution. When the game goes fullscreen and renders in 480p, the entire display will be set to this resolution even after exiting the game. Forcing either a complete system restart to fix it or, if you know how, the use of the terminal to reset your display resolution.
If you're okay playing in Borderless Window at your native resoltuion, it's fine, but getting to that point took some fighting.

Runs natively

Absolutely no problems playing this game on Steam Deck of Linux.
The controls are great on Steam Deck. I actually love playing this on the Deck a lot more than on PC. They have done a very good job of optimizing the controls on the Deck.

Works OUTB. Tested on unstable b42
-windowed -noborder
Build 42 unstable runs flawlessly with no issues

Windows save files had to be manually copied over to Linux
Tested on unstable build 42.

After about 20 hours of playing, I feel that it works more fluidly than with Windows, on this same machine. No Mods yet.

Sometimes had difficulty returning to game window after alt-tabbing
Works great out of the box!

It's a great zombie survival game with a massive modding support thanks to steam workshop.
I don't think that's a Linux issue, more with the game itself, but it's worth mentioning here.
Works out of the box perfectly

Pretty solid without problems
simply press start and have fun!
