LD_PRELOAD="" gamescope -f -w 1920 -h 1080 -- gamemoderun %command%
Native version has some windowing quirks which i use gamescope to work around. With gamescope the game drops to like 20 fps after a little bit unless you add the LD_PRELOAD="" line. If you play on the stable branch, the input system is completely busted and won't register correctly if you press multiple keys at once. You can also just run it with proton and none of these issues will come up.
no significant issues
screen sometimes goes black for a frame
game sometimes fails to lock the mouse, can be fixed by pausing
game runs fine, but takes a while to load
gamemoderun %command%
Worked perfectly fine for the past 2 seasons, now randomly drops to 5-10 fps for a few seconds at a time, making it unplayable.
This game has struggled with linux support in the past, but was running smoothly up until today. I am sure that this will be fixed soon enough.
gamemoderun %command%
This game has a history of compatibility issues, but they usually get fixed quickly.
PROTON_EAC_RUNTIME=1 gamemoderun %command%
After a random amount of playtime (usually after a match or two) the game becomes unplayable: framerate drops from 65 to 10-15 specifically when i move my mouse or press any key. Only way to fix this is restarting the game. Not sure if this should be categorized under performance or input lol
Had performance issues before, now crashes 2-3 minutes after starting
PROTON_EAC_RUNTIME=1 gamemoderun %command%
Did they backport this "feature" from arc raiders?
PROTON_EAC_RUNTIME=1 gamemoderun %command%
Like I said in a previous report, after a random amount of matches the game will start to lag severly when receiving keyboard or mouse input, making it unplayable.
I use Proton Experimental Bleeding Edge, but maybe it works on regular experimental.
PROTON_EAC_RUNTIME=1 LD_PRELOAD= gamemoderun %command%
After searching online, I found out the issue was caused by having the steam overlay disabled. If you want to play without the overlay, add "LD_PRELOAD= " to your launch arguments (yes, with no value). Otherwise the game will lag severely whenever you input anything with your mouse or keyboard.
This game receives compatibility-breaking patches once every few months. These usually get fixed within a few days, but you might have to switch to Proton Experimental Bleeding Edge to get them sooner.
Game would think my inputs were held for too long, so if I held w for 30 seconds I would have to walk for 60 before I could input anything else. Probably caused by the lag.
The only game I tried ran fine at first, but then dropped to 10fps and stayed that way, even after multiple restarts. Maybe it's the game's dev's fault, rather than s&box's, i don't know.
The game seems to work, but the editor crashed my whole pc and is entirely unusable.
