It's working
sometimes stuff render badly, mainly stuff like rays, reflections etc.
some gamemodes crash the gam, however my friend on Windows has the same issue.
however the game still is in development, so don't expect it to be well polished. Considering it's facepunch (which is in close ties with valve), they'll probably make a Linux native version on full release, just like GMod. For now it's working quite well (for a dev beta) on proton out of the box.

Game will not stop running after closing
.net desktop runtime fails to install in steam wine prefix
In order to launch the game you must launch the exe from the game folder with proton tricks then select s&box prefix. you may also have to first load into the s&box prefix through protontricks and install the dependencies (.net desktop)

Averaging around 5 GB of Video Ram on FacePunch Flatgrass Map
Main menus are fine, but I cannot use the pause menus or sandbox menus
Be patient for when they hopefully start working on support for proton. Currently, you will most likely run out of VRAM or have issues using the pause menus.

Crash when joining servers, menu works fine, character customizing works fine.
Like others have said, I am unable to join certain servers and crash immediately. Since the issue seems to be server specific, server owners could potentially make their servers more linux friendly with some effort to find the root of the problem.

Runs normal as native

Dedicated server crashes are a major issue.
Crashes when joining dedicated servers at "Creating reflection maps".
The S&box editor is known to require manual fixes to be usable.
I hope all of this is resolved with a Linux native build of S&box. Facepunch plz

Game would think my inputs were held for too long, so if I held w for 30 seconds I would have to walk for 60 before I could input anything else. Probably caused by the lag.
The only game I tried ran fine at first, but then dropped to 10fps and stayed that way, even after multiple restarts. Maybe it's the game's dev's fault, rather than s&box's, i don't know.
The game seems to work, but the editor crashed my whole pc and is entirely unusable.
Lag spikes upon seeing players but not that bad.

gamemoderun %command%
Shading broken on some maps
Crashes when joining specific servers/games

Audio crackling only in menu. Maybe needed some pipewire tweaks. Honestly i don't care because game is under development.

The game's audio crackles only in the main menu. When loading into a game, the audio is completely fine.

game starts at around ~50fps at the main menu at 1440p before dropping below 20fps when the game selector is opened and dropping into the single digits when a game is loaded

mangohud gamemoderun %command% -adapter 1
For me, it used mesa drivers by default and performance was miserable. When I changed them to the amdvlk drivers via the launch option -adapter 1 it took a second to built up shaders but then ran buttery smooth.
Multiple games inside S&box crash immediately, but the rest work well.

Game doesn't launch. Complaines about various libraries. Nothing seems to help.
Tried installing vcrun2022, dotnet48, dotnetdesktop7/8/9, dxvk etc...
May sometimes just always display a black screen if you ALT-TAB for too long.

Works perfectly other than a few games crashing.
Some games cause s&box to crash.
Launches and runs without any tinkering necessary, some games causes it to crash but other than that it works.

set the graphics option to minimum, but for machine power reason the frame rate was drop to low in sometimes.
Doesn't run out of the box, as it requires .NET Desktop Runtime v7.0.20 to be installed.

Играется нормально, но со звуком проблемы - протряскивания
думаю проблему со звуком можно решить изменив конфиг pipewire https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/pipewire/-/issues/3098
