idgi how I got this title, but it works
Used UMU-Proton-9.0-3.2 but it was a random choice.
Worked well even on older nvidia gpu (gtx 670) and laptop igpu, but later levels may slow down drastically.
Crackling when window not focused.
Tried it with Proton as well, but did not notice any difference.
Everything works out of the box
WIth Steam, did not even need to select compatibility mode, as it automatically uses Proton. Can tinker for getting higher FPS caps, but not necessary.
Works well
Two controllers, no issues.
Long wait for shader compilation. Would probably work better with tinkering for precompile.
Worked with latest Proton as well. Long wait for launch, likely CPU-bound.
Couch MP worked perfectly, even with three players, two using Xbox controllers.
Tinkerless couch-coop.
Worked fine, even with three players, two using controllers on local
No desync, no performance issues in B41
cmd=(%command%); cmd[-1]="$STEAM_COMPAT_INSTALL_PATH/SwGame/Binaries/Win64/SwGame-Win64-Shipping.exe"; "${cmd[@]}"
Renamed EAappInstaller_installScript.vdf and installScript.vdf to *.bak respectively under SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Jedi Fallen Order/
As other reports wrote, the tinker steps are necessary to avoid the EA stuff.
Have to go through EA account registration, but can skip it with Esc for offline play, from what I understand. The EA account registration worked only with keyboard for me, not with mouse.
Had better performance with Proton than Native
Slight performance issues when running in Native compared to Proton. May have been an issue with the dated drivers for the previous GPU though (GTX 670).
PROTON_USE_EAC_LINUX=1; %command%
Desyncs, but unsure if this is due to server issue or something that the client running under Proton is causing.
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%
Used recommended launch options and there were no issues.
