Game runs poorly, configurations need to be reset if you access the menu and fmv's do not run.
Stuttering issues
Videos still do not work. They no longer even attempt to play. The game doesn't respect its own configurations. Entering the equipment menu or inventory will reset all settings to default.
The beginning video is broken and will cause a crash as well as any in-game video, rendering the game unplayable about 1/4th of the way in.
Anything that attempts to play a video in-game will cause a crash. Stuck at 65,000,000 BC due to crashes brought on by the game trying to play a video. Possible to crash at the main menu if you try to skip the video before the audio fixes itself.
Game is very laggy even at lower settings. May be general slowness.
The game runs and runs well but it is extremely buggy ( unsure if this is the game or proton/wine ).
Gui elements not appearing, text escaping the box, elements placed incorrectly.
The game is buggy. This is not a proton issue. Getting the latest patch should fix some, but not all of the bugs.
Significant stuttering. This gets worse the longer you play.
Use nwjs if possible. Most RPGMaker games can be run 'natively' this way. You'll need to fix some of the file namings to avoid crashes/load errors if you want to run the game using nwjs.
Aside from the game locking if you focus another window while it's running, it works very well.
Text scaling issues that cause text to escape their box/go offscreen or obstruct other pieces of text.
Text scaling makes most dialogue unreadable.
The game runs well but it's currently very easy to trigger a hard-lock which requires you to force kill dying light from the command-line.
Game hard-locks at random when online is enabled
Failed to load the anti-cheat module. Causes game to fail to launch.
mv elden
Game stutters very badly
Game stutters more than native
Multiplayer now functional with latest patch and proton bleeding edge
Performance issues are still present and quite distracting. Seems to be a bit worse than running native.
The game more or less works. Disabling vulkan causes the game to fail to start so you need to put it into compatibility mode.
Stuttering and long load times.
The screen doesn't seem to refresh when selecting a button and will go black. You must place the game into compatibility mode to fix this issue
Do not set PROTON_USE_WINED3D. The game will fail to launch. You must set the game into compatibility mode in order to fix the graphical issues.
Animations pause for upwards of a second at the end of its loop
Game occasionally errors when attempting to fetch the save image. It doesn't appear to cause any issues saving though.
Unable to get past the first 15 minutes of the game due to a 'crash' caused by interacting with the level up menu.
Accessing menu caused game to become unresponsive
DXVK_ASYNC=1
Game will drop to 5fps in some aresas
Occasional graphical glitches. Particularly with backgrounds.
Game functions but it's very slow and unpleasent to play in areas that have particles or more than 4 enemies.
Works well outside of the menu being borked and online multiplayer not working ( this borks livery, track creation, etc ).
The title screen issue appears to have been fixed and multiplayer is functioning as expected now.
Text escapes the screen. Most of the text is unreadable.
I've tried GE, Experimental and the latest stable proton version and none of them fix the text issue.
Runs fine but text is bugged
Wrong font and font size is used causing text to scroll off screen or overlap with other pieces of text.
This game runs fine and if you don't install the patch that adds NSFW content then it's playable. That said something about the patch bugs out the text. Proton/Wine/Proton-GE seem to fail to use the proper font and font size which causes text to scroll off screen or overlap with other text, making a large portion of the dialogue in the game unreadable.
Significant lag/stuttering.
Video does not work. A test screen is displayed in its place.
Unable to disable vsync. Solid 60fps but still seeing stuttering. Videos do not play and will exit shortly after beginning.
You're unable to progress past boss (first 10mins of game). A flower screen will pop-up, disappear and then the game locks.
Unable to progress past BOSS. Game hard-locks.
Disable Vsync. With Vsync turned on you may experience stuttering. If you disable it then the game runs flawlessly.
Minor lag spikes. Might just be rpgmaker being rpgmaker
The game has an issue with freezing/locking during the animated sections
The frequent soft-locking and spaced saves means you'll frequently lose progress which doesn't make for a great gaming experience.
The game frequently soft locks during animated scenes, the menu, the overworld and in battle. Vanilla proton/wine seem to run the longest before crashing whereas using the GE builds the game frequently locks within minutes of starting.
The animated scenes are frequently bugged and fail to run correctly. This will happen a few times consecutively and is frequently followed by the game locking up.
It's unclear to me if the game locking up is a problem with the game itself or an issue with wine/proton/ulwgl because it seems to happen regardless of the build/compatibility tool I use, which libraries I point it at or which rendering backend I choose. I've tried for a while to get this working but haven't managed to get the game to run for longer than 30 minutes.
Broken without P5R patch
You need to use a custom proton build to play this. In the future this might be fixed but for now it's broken on mainline proton and proton-ge.
Framerates are bad, fullscreen is having trouble and inputs are missed. The game currently isn't playable
The game starts in fullscreen then switches to windowed causing performance issues
Inputs not detected on first click or while in certain menus.
Framerates were in the single digits as soon as the game was started.
Runs better than some linux native games.
Crashes when switching tracks, going back to the menu or selecting new tracks.
The game starts and shortly after the splash screen is displayed it crashes.
Game runs better on proton currently. Recent update seems to have messed up the linux native version of the game.
Frequently dropped into single digit frame rates on a 2080ti
Poor native performance but runs decently through proton.
The game runs and plays well minus occasional crashes and videos/cut-scenes not displaying properly.
Game crashes after a couple hours of play
Ending video ( sisters end ) doesn't play. Instead a 'test video' is displayed.
