Works perfectly with Glorious Egg Custom Proton. Does not work with Proton 5.0-9. With Proton 5.0-9, the game will just show a black screen on startup.
Runs very well on Linux, but crashes more often than on Windows.
I did experience a couple crashes within the first ten hours of playing on Linux.
Worked very well, besides a windowing issue that was solved by playing in Windowed mode.
Windowing works fine if you're playing on Windowed mode, but if you play on Fullscreen or Fullscreen Windowed, then you will not be able to get back into the game after alt-tabbing.
gamemoderun %command%
Without 'gamemoderun %command%', most of my keyboard keys were not responsive, but my keyboard was detected because my escape, tab, and spacebar were working. But all my alphabet keys were not.
The game runs extremely well out of the box. The only problem I encountered was using windowed mode.
After switching to windowed mode, it would switch rapidly between full-screen and windowed mode while scrolling through the video options until the video options disappear entirely. It didn't fully crash, but it made switching back to full-screen a little tricky since the screen kept resizing itself.
Runs perfectly with Glorious Eggroll Custom Proton.
The 'drone view' will just be a bunch of white polka dots all over the screen with Proton 5.0-9, which makes controlling the drones in the game almost impossible, but using Glorious Eggroll Custom Proton fixes this.
Launch in 32 bit Safe Mode to avoid audio issues. Otherwise, runs very well.
Gatling guns and flamethrowers are insanely loud even with the sfx volume turned down. Launch in 32 bit safe mode to save your ears.
Works well on Proton Experimental. When I used Proton 8.0-3, I got stuck on a loading screen trying to play online.
Could not get back into the game after alt-tabing
I got stuck on a loading screen after a match with one of my friends, but this only happened once during a 2-hour play session.
Use Proton Experimental.
Besides some lip syncing issues during cut-scenes, the game ran very well out of the box.
During cut-scenes, the characters' voices were not in-sych with their lips.
I managed to get 70 hours from this game, but i'm unable to load my save after the "Land of Convergence" quest without crashing.
Audio falls out of sync during cutscenes.
After the "Land of Convergence" quest, my game immediately crashed and now I cannot load my 70 hour save without the game crashing.
Game crashes when trying to watch tutorial videos.
Ran pretty well out of the box, besides lip syncing error on initial cutscene.
Audio fell out of sync during initial cutscene
The game runs very well, but you have to force game to run Steam Proton 4.2-9.
I had to force it to run Steam Proton 4.2-9 in order to reach main menu. Using 4.11-11 will cause the game to run an infinite loading screen rather than the main menu.
Steam says this game runs on Windows and Mac, not Linux. This game is not native, yet Protondb shows this game as native for some reason.
The game would not start. Running Proton will only open a black window of nothing for the game, but you won't see the initial menu.
Running it natively is even worse. You don't even get the black window!
Runs well, but crashes often when reloading a previous save.
After failing a mission, I reloaded a previous save, but the game crashed during loading screen. This has happened to me several times. The first load save after booting up the game is fine, but the second load always seems to crash the game. This happens on both Proton 5.0-9 and Glorious Eggroll.
Worked very well. I've only played private lobby matches with friends. Haven't played on ranked or unranked yet.
Not able to get back into the game after alt-tabbing. Had to close the game and reopen it from steam.
Skyrim launcher immediately closes upon pressing PLAY.
The earlier versions of Proton and Glorious Eggroll had the same issue. The launcher just immediately closes.
Launcher immediately closes upon clicking PLAY.
I tried earlier versions of Proton and Glorious Eggroll, but still had the same problem. Skyrim Normal Edition also has this problem.
NPC dialogue was missing. Setting this as launch option fixed this: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=90 %command%
Runs extremely with Proton 5.0-9, but you have to go through Origin.
You still have to install and login to Origin in order to play. When you do install Origin, be sure to manually select its folder location because its default is a Windows folder system, rather than Linux. Otherwise, you can't access your Cloud Saves. Also, I was not able to get the game to run on Glorious Eggroll Custom Proton.
It ran pretty well out of the box without any tweaks except for a couple FPS drops during cutscenes.
I have recently installed Linux Mint, and Warframe is the first game that I downloaded on steam. I have not done any tweaking besides enabling steam proton for all my games. Currently, running Warframe out of the box with the current version of proton is not going to work. I can't get through five minutes of survival before the game crashes, and this happens every single time I start the game. Also, the voices and the music do not work.
Though a beta, still runs very well on Linux. Hopefully, full game does as well.
Some minor pop-in/out.
When playing with mouse and keyboard, the mouse cursor disappears when in menus. Can still use the keyboard to navigate menus.
