On Windows 11, there would be some stutters every now and then, but on CachyOS, I haven't experienced any!
Runs perfectly OOTB

Good
Alt-tabbing can sometimes make your character start jumping with every key you press. It can only be fixed by restarting the game. Annoying, but not game breaking. Might only occur on Pop_os!
Played the whole game + DLCs without any major issue except from alt-tabbing.
Works with zero issues

If the game is allowed to run at higher than 120 FPS the dialogue gets cut off slightly before the end of their segments. There were also some very rare audio popping at low base sounds.
Great experience OOTB with default settings

Installed it. Opened it. Played it.
Perfect experience out-of-the box.

Using CachyOS's optimized Proton with Steam (Native), both from their gaming meta package. Launch command is for CachyOS to change the power profile.
Works perfectly on Linux Mint DE.

MANGOHUD=1 gamemoderun %command% -nostartupmovies
About half a second out of sync.
Supports ultrawide resolution natively.
Launch Options
MANGOHUD=1 → Shows overlay for FPS, frametime, temperatures, etc.
gamemoderun → CPU performance optimizations
-nostartupmovies → Skips intro videos
Excellent performance.

Serious issues with stutters.
Just opening the menu getting multiple frame stutters that take seconds. In-game after loading I get multiple several-second stutters, and then on regular basis 50-150ms frames when on average it's running fine against the 116 FPS limiter. Game is pretty unplayable with frequent severe stutters unpredictably.
I tried this game on different systems, with different proton versions, with different utilities, I keep getting the same result. No idea why anyone would advertise this as "platinum".

No tinkering, no messing with settings. Only change was from Proton Hotfix to Expirimental. No problems.
Worked Beautifully. No problems. Only change was from Proton Hotfix to Expirimental. No problems.

DXVK_FILTER_DEVICE_NAME="Intel(R) Arc(tm) A580 Graphics (DG2)"
Works great, just like a native game. And what a game! I had a blast through Corvo's campaign, then Daud too. It's the Definitive Edition from Epic Store, configured via Heroic Launcher, by the way.

Depending on the chapter, the game crashes every couple hours. At the beginning of the Flooded District chapter, the game crashed 3-4 times.

Works but with a slightly annoying bug
After clicking off the game and then clicking back onto the game it would stop working. Meaning I had to make sure to save the game before interacting with any other window, as overwise I would lose any unsaved progress.

No issue with anything at all while playing.
DXVK_STATE_CACHE=1 DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command% -nostartupmovies
Works perfectly out of the box.
perfect

Works perfectly on Ubuntu 24.04
There is a video recording to showcase and give an idea how it works here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adCfbWfA-YE

DXVK_STATE_CACHE=1 DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command% -nostartupmovies
With Steam's pre-cache shader disabled, I tested with different versions of Proton, finding a solution to the stuttering problem. Apparently, since proton 8.0, the .dxvk-cache file is no longer created next to the game's .exe, since the way this works must have changed.
I tried several versions, resetting the cache first to force stuttering each time, deleting the file ~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/Dishonored/Binaries/Win32/Dishonored.dxvk-cache (if it was created) , and the folder that was generated for the game's gpu cache within ~/.nv/GLCache/ (nvidia gpu only).
Until I found that the GE-Proton7-42 version, along with the parameters for the game: DXVK_STATE_CACHE=1 DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command% completely eliminated the stuttering.
This solution may apply to other games.

Sometimes will get a moment of opaque color when starting 'Dark Vision' ability

The game worked great out of the box
Completed the main game and the story dlc and the game worked great without any crashes or other problem, played on an ultrawide monitor and the videos and menu are 16:9 but the gameplay it's fine at 21:9
Crashed after initial video during loading. Tried multiple proton versions.
Worked perfectly

Runs perfectly with all the reccomended settings.

Works just like windows
Literally just hit play

Works
