Game launches easily out of the box with proton hotfix. No bugs or performance issues from my testing.
Audio frequently cracks especially around louder noises like helicopters. This also causes near-crashes.

Reforger must currently be ran on forced Experimental in order to avoid heavy foliage artifacting.
Crackling immediately began upon reaching the main menu. It did mellow out eventually, but maintains its presence somewhat.
After 50-60 attempts to launch the game, I was finally get it to work. When you hit play, it may appear as nothing has happened but it believes the game is open. Be patient. Allow Glorious Eggroll to be glorious, especially the first time. In total it probably took around half an hour of sitting before my first launch was successful.
For a reason I am still unsure of, I was NOT able to get this game to launch on an external drive. The only way I could get it to succesfully open is on the same drive as my linux filesystem. After countless attempts, I moved it to my primary SSD and the game would open. I don't have the time or skills to investigate this, but maybe something worth considering trying if you're having issues. I DID NOT attempt to use mods.
Game seems to be unstable, and frame rate suffers. But it can be played.
FPS playing through Proton doesn't go above 30fps no matter my graphical settings
Occasional crashes during the launch
I experience higher FPS on Linux than I did on Windows. Game is stable.
Miserable experience in the current state.
Game is currently unplayable on my system with my testing. Game would not launch on Proton Hotfix. 9.0-4 worked. Sounds stuttered unbearably on the main menu, and the menu froze frequently. Had to kill process to recover my computer on the first attempt, and the second attempt caused a crash of entire desktop environment, even after reducing graphics settings to lowest and capping frame rate to attempt to stabilize it.
taskset -c 0 %command%
Game will only succesfully launch about 20% of the time. Must relaunch until success.
Hosting and playing multiplayer servers has no barrier.
The online component is unavailable because of Battleye. Most GTA players will want access to this.
PROTON_BATTLEYE_RUNTIME=~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Proton\ BattlEye\ Runtime/ %command%
The online component is unavailable because of Battleye. You can attempt to fix this by installing the Proton BattlEye Runtime and using the launch options to point to it. However, for me this does not work, and for many others it doesn't seem to be working. Technically the game runs, and you will be able to play single player. But at this point in the lifespan of the game I would imagine a high majority of players want access to the online mode - which is currently unaccessible.
Certain assets do not load, such as tutorial displays.
Game launches and plays just fine on Proton 8.0-5. Game will not launch on 9.0-4, Hotfix, or Experimental at the time of posting. Missing out on the tutorial displays is a very minor issue, as the text explanations still appear.
Game works great besides FPS drop on initial mission drop.
HUGE FPS drop at the start of mission during the pod drop. Only occurs during the first pod drop of the mission. Once you have landed and left the pod, performance fully recovers.
As long as you do not try to skip the splash screens, the game runs fine. Resist the urge to button mash on startup.
Game is guaranteed to crash if attempting to skip splash screens
Gameplay experiences significant slowdowns, and crashing will occur if not careful during cinematics.
Game experiences significant slowdown with average enemy counts on screen
Game is guaranteed to crash if you attempt to skip/button press during intro splash screens, or cinematics.
Unless you are willing to put up with a relatively unpleasant experience, you will not enjoy this.
Game worked PERFECTLY. Only tested with Experimental. Gamepad also worked without issues.
The game works perfectly, I almost forgot it was running on Proton and not native.
Game doesn't launch with out GE Proton.
PSO2 New Genesis runs and launches absolutely fine on GE Proton. However, I cannot get PSO2 Classic (Which is what I really want to play) to install.
Installing PSO2 Classic was strange. Steam may give the illusion that no progress is being made on the install but with enough patience it will eventually finish, and you can play both games without flawlessly.
There is one minor hiccup in my experience - When using in-game options to switch between NGS and Classic, the game will freeze or crash. You must go back to title screen before switching game versions.
Smite 2 opens and runs as expected, however FPS suffers. On my computer, the game is still playable, even with the FPS drop.
Game runs about 30% worse compared to my Windows installation.
