textures flickering/graphical glitches
After testing various configurations and versions of Proton in Heroic Games (including ProtonGE), only Proton 7.0 displayed the graphics correctly in Alan Wake Remastered (Epic Games)
1 fps! Could not play. It's probably just a detail that needs to be fixed for it to work for me
I tried the ones recommended here in the comments and they made no difference. - PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 RADV_PERFTEST=aco...
I used all the protontricks recommended here in the comments (mdx d3dx9 d3dcompiler_43 win10 - and XP too) and the game opened but it was only at 1 fps when exiting the cinematic
1 fps - does not work! I think it might be a problem because it's an AMD graphics card. I tested it on Windows in the same PC and it worked on maximum settings
game didn't work
Before using the protontricks the game would not open. Probably the problem occurred due to some issue with video driver.
CS don't work since the season update.
It stopped working! Now I realized how bad Steam support is, as there is no way to report this error.
gamemoderun %command% -vulkan -novid -nojoy -fullscreen
I was having problems with the initial videos and the main menu, which was stuck at 1 or 2 fps. novid and vulkan probably solved the problem
Native version works great on Mint and Fedora, but crashes when exiting the game
Sometimes I noticed some audio glitches (some sound effects stopped working during a match).
The game always crashes when exiting to the desktop, both on Fedora and Mint
I saw a lot of people suggesting the Windows-Proton version, but I didn't feel the need to switch
A versão Linux da GOG não dava tela cheia
O jogo nativo Linux da GOG foi rodado no Heroic, mas não apareceram as opções de configuração gráfica. A versão Windows rodou sem problemas com Wine-GE. GOG's native Linux game ran on Heroic, but no graphics configuration options appeared. The Windows version ran without any issues with Wine-GE.
Vulkan - Works out of the box! Solid performance. Zero problems
HUD in low resolution
I was only able to play in windowed mode
It was only possible to play the game with Proton-GE and in windowed mode. There were still crashes on startup when trying to launch the game a second time. Game menus, HUD and map appear pixelated (low resolution). Anyway, it's nice to be able to run Forza on AMD integrated graphics.
It worked with Proton Experimental, but without the game's opening cinematics before the main menu. Interestingly it did NOT work on Linux Mint 21.2 with the RX 570 - apenas Fedora + iGPU Radeon 680m.
Great game, outstanding optimization and performance.
There were only a few punctual audio failures, mainly in explosions.
Cross-play did not work on Linux in the native version and with Proton the game did not open
I tested the native cross-play version (beta) with friends (who used Windows-Epic/Steam) and I was unable to join their session or invite them. This beta version also had bugs in the menu, such as navigation issues. The beta version for Windows did not open with Proton Experimental and Proton 9. I did not test proton-tkg as previously indicated here. We requested a refund.
I had issues with the crossplay beta on Steam and returned the game. The GOG version I have now (which is crossplay by default) ran smoothly via Heroic-Proton Experimental. I'm playing with friends who have Steam and Epic.
I needed the Proton-GE to be able to view in-game media, such as the content of VHS tapes
There are no bugs or general issues with the game. I only needed Proton-GE to be able to view in-game media/videos, such as the content of VHS tapes.
I never got to the main menu
I tried to install dll for DirectX 9
A window opens and closes quickly so I never got to the main menu. I tried several versions of Proton, Proton-GE, Wine... I tried via Lutris on GOG. Nothing works.
I was only able to run the game after disabling the Steam overlay in the game's properties.
The game always crashed in the opening video, being unplayable (didn't get to the game menu). After testing several versions of proton, the game worked normally when disabling the Steam overlay (Painel da Steam dentro do jogo, em português) in the properties.
