Amazing game

Weird controller binding changes in Native. Had to switch between steam input enabled/disabled a couple times. Also no vibration. Proton fixed these issues.
Switching between native and proton will reset your in-game achievements. Maybe just a case of copying the correct data over to the Proton folders.
Native started regularly crashing after a while. Proton seems smoother.

The game will not load your saved progress if you're disconnected from the Internet. I think this game requires on-line/server side autentication to load your save file. Other than that the game saves and loads progress.
Yep, it works on my shitty internet. Take note that playing this game in on-line mode will drop the FPS a little. Enable off-line mode in the in-game settings menu to maximize performance if you're playing solo.

The fps is not consistent when the multiplayer mode is active. It's a known issue, but it took me a liitle to figure it out.
When there are multiple players near you, the fps drops even on mid settings
This is definitely a game you should take a look at. Make sure you activate the offline mode from the in-game settings first, because that is the main reason for unstable fps. Other than that, I've tweaked a little the graphics to achieve around 60fps most of the time, without affecting too much the quality. Here are the settings I used:
- Shadows: Low
- Terrain Quality: High
- Level of Detail: Medium
- Anti Aliasing: Low
- Depth of Field: Off
- Bloom: On
- Ambient Occlusion: Off
- God Rays: On
- Motion Blur: Off
- Fullscreen: On
- Vsync: Off
- Resolution: 1280x800
I was getting around 2-3h of playtime on battery, but if you were to cap the deck's refresh rate to 40Hz, you could possibly get a higher lifespan.
Works flawlessly, no tinkering required.

Allow Tearing
When running in Proton it connects with PC and Xbox players without issue.
My last report for this was 3 years ago and it was basically unplayable. These days it runs perfectly on a Steam Deck both natively and in Proton. Recommend playing in Proton so that you can join shared lobbies with PC and Xbox players.

Can have a massive performance impact disabling online mode, up to 60fps noted on low-end systems
Might be caused by Arc drivers, but I got an immediate CTD if I didn't add the force D3D launch argument. Worked perfectly after that, average 140fps on ultra settings with A770.

Works with cross-play
Native version is a garbage, gamemode and no esync parameters are optional.

Runs fine out of the box. Will very infrequently freeze when alt-tabbing out to desktop and back.
Works perfectly
Works really well on the deck and is really fun to play there too.
Didn't noticed any issues
Played on the 512GB model
Playing on default settings the game never actually showw up and then crashes after selecting screen options.
Game does not work on steam recommended settings.
The game seems to run functionally identically regardless of settings. No matter what settings I used it always ran at about 40-58fps.
When I tried to adjust my refresh rate down to 40 mid-game the game camera detached from the player character and the controls became completely unresponsive
The online worked perfectly. Players were all present and animating correctly.
Controls well, obviously seems the Deck is powerful enough it's just being held back in some manner that I'd have to address.
I played on a mix of low and medium settings, 60fps most of the time only small dips here and there. Playing online lowered the fps.
Performance dips into the mid 40s when you play online with other players visible.
Performance drops when playing online.
Given the game has a native MacOS app that I have never even been able to load I had low expectations but it's been a breeze on SteamDeck
Native Version Works Perfectly (After Mischief Tour Update)
As of the latest update, the native version's online multiplayer is crossplay with Windows and Xbox. It functions perfectly!
Prior to the Mischief Tour update, the native build had visual bugs and totally broken multiplayer. The game now seems to run perfectly with the native build.
Native has no audio and Proton version has very high GPU and VRAM usage
Audio on native build does not work
Very high GPU and VRAM usage on Proton
Native build does not have the performance issues that the Windows build has under proton, but audio does not work at all on native. I tried both Proton 7 and GE 7
Proton version runs way better than Linux version. The only issue with proton version is alt-tabbing crash
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Alt-Tabbing causes the game to crash, Enabling virtual desktop in winecfg or using gamescope fixes the issue.
Linux Native build seems to have separate online lobbies and doesn't connect to Xbox and Gamepass users for cross-play, so the online lobbies on Linux are rather barren as a result. I recommend playing through Proton instead if you want a more 'lively' online experience, although the Linux build works great otherwise
Controller rumble at high velocities isn't working, but the game works flawlessly otherwise.
It works well except for the occasional crashes, which of course happen when I'm on the last level.
Removed all the file manually and re-installed, now work perfectly natively. Under Proton as there is no way to delete my previous comment.

This game stopped working on the native port, producing a mess on screen, so I forced Steamplay, which had a loads of different errors.
Blank screen, though graphics card doing lots (it's a card with an activity indicator.) I used to play this a lot and it worked fine, but now there's trouble. I've a fairly new Mesa so it could be that.
Runs without problems on ultra
GloriousEggroll
Basically unplayable framerate, both with the native client and running in Proton
Crashes frequently depending on Proton version
This game boasts a native client which runs even worse than significantly more graphically-intensive games running under Proton. It's clearly very badly optimised. I tried both the native client and the Windows client running under various Proton versions and nothing could get over 40FPS at 1080p. By contrast I can run numerous other games at 4K without trouble.
