Finished the game on a Steam Deck without any issues.
Launch window needs to be accessed via the touch screen to press 'start'
Absolutely no music playing on Steam Deck. Also sometimes the game crashes with an error due to not being able to read a .ogg sound file
Frequently crashes due to not being able to read certain audio files it seems
Game is playable, but still prone to crashing, especially during level transitions as it seems to not be able to load certain .ogg sound files. Further, the background music (a big part of Crashday) is completely missing.
Music used to not work on Deck, and the game would often crash due to related issues.
All of this seems to be fixed with newest Proton 7.0-6. Absolute blast to play portably.
Linux Native build seems to have separate online lobbies and doesn't connect to Xbox and Gamepass users for cross-play, so the online lobbies on Linux are rather barren as a result. I recommend playing through Proton instead if you want a more 'lively' online experience, although the Linux build works great otherwise
An odd custom user-submitted control scheme was selected by default. I changed this back to standard Gamepad controls, as the game has native controller support
Worked straight out-of-the-box, using Proton 7.0-6. No further tweaks needed to get the game running. Multiplayer is either dead or doesn't work due to Games for Windows Live integration
Can be completed with 100% achievements in around 2 hours, apart from that not a good game
Feels like it's running native. Aiming with gyro feels great, too, once you find your own preferred gyro settings within Steam Input in terms of sensitivity and such
It seems that the audio bug has been fixed with a recent Proton version, as the soundtrack plays perfectly fine for me on my Steam Deck with no tinkering. Flawless experience!
