game closes at first launch after install, then all runs nice.
runs good even when my internet is pretty bad
grabbed for free from epic store

Doesn't work anymore
Tried on the heroic games launcher with a copy owned on epic games store. It used to work fine (except that the heroic launcher doesn't support egs online features I think so I couldn't play online) despite the reports on here saying that the screen was black on startup and it wouldn't go to the menu. I had to change my wine version to make it work, but neither that nor any of the others I could think to try work anymore. Not sure why

Game would suddenly crash when playing local versus.
Will crash during local versus.
Game was installed through epic games launcher using bottles with proton-ge as the backend on a custom instance.
No issues

Didn't work
Tried several versions of Proton, Proton-GE and Wine-GE. Always get a black screen or the game quits immediately after start.

Playing the epic games version, not the steam version, so steam being open can cause problems with controller detection
I had the same problems that other reports had at first. In the heroic launcher, it would open, but would just display a black screen. I had to go to the wine manager tab of the launcher and install a new version of proton from there. The versions I had already installed through steam didn't work, but this new one (wine-ge-proton7-35) works perfectly.

EGS Version works fine if you use the Windows version with Wine

Game installs but screen remain black.

Epic version: Black window with nothing in it
Tried various installed protons and nothing seems to work.
Native version drops some frames when a lot of things are happening at once. Usually when Pom and her dogs are on screen or using a super move which calls in more dog sprites to fill the screen. Running the windows version in Proton seems to remove this issue. Both versions suffer from a little skipping after sleep mode but the Native Linux version lasts a little longer.
Native Linux and Windows version under Proton run great. Albiet the Native Linux version has some frame drops when the character Pom has a lot of dogs summoned, more so in mirror matches. Windows version under Proton seems to run smoother. If you play Pom or run into a lot of Pom matches perhaps use Proton instead of native Linux vesion for that one problem. Everything else runs great however.
Had some great rounds with a friend.
Notably better performance than I experienced on Windows.
Once more Mane6 manages to do better than AAA devs by gracing us with a flawless native Linux port. This game deserves more recognition.
Whatever I did, the game wouldn't accept the deck's full resolution of 1280x800. The game just refused to switch from 1280x720 to 1280x800, so black bars are present.
It runs native and that's amazing
Never expected the devs to make a Native version of the game. I thought they would just have Proton-Support and leave it at that. Actually amazing that they took the time to make a Native port of it and I only found out about it when I went back to this site and it was marked native. I reinstalled the game and it has no issue whatsoever. Praise this game and it's devs
Runs pretty well, may need to turn off some of the "pretty" stuff for graphics on certain hardware
The game works perfectly with Proton. I had no problems, so you can install, play and enjoy :D
Works flawlessly out of the box
Runs right out of the box with 4.11-13
Framerate sags intermittently, runs smoothly otherwise
Worked flawlessly with Proton 5.0-7

Borked on Proton 5.0-3.
Seems to work well under Proton 4.11-13 though. No tweaks needed so far.
No issues.
Full screen 1920x1080 and with Steam controller.
Significantly improved from last testing

The game crashes when I want to change graphics settings.

Several different Proton versions tested, also tested without the fsync-patched kernel. I've tried running with and without Esync, with and without DXVK enabled, and with the other common tweaks. In all cases, the game fails to start with "Application load error 3:0000065432". The game runs essentially flawlessly through Steam when Steam itself is also run through WINE, so the issue appears to lie with Proton.

Runs flawlessly. Unlike some other reporters' experience, online works just fine for me, no slowdowns whatsoever.

Works as expected.

No issues, controller input works fine

Everything works out of the box, but framerate can get a bit choppy during a match.

Game runs but the animation gets extremely choppy during matches.

Absolutely no issues, controller inputs work fine.

Some slowdowns but game is on Early access and have slowdowns on W10 too.

This uses the Z-Engine for graphics, like Skullgirls.

Runs, but quite slow.
