There were missing and flashing textures and Bright Light lines across the screen, and this was the first time I started it up. I went ahead and also installed Proton-5.9-GE-3-ST but it wouldn't launch and then switched to Steam Linux Runtime and it uninstalled the game. At the time, I was at the latest Kernel, which was 5.7.8.
I have switched to the LTS 5.4.51-1 kernel and I will test out the game again once I have it reinstalled
Game runs amazing and I definitely recommend this game to any Linux User.
Alt+Tabbing is still an issue but compared to the Last time, This game is glorious
I did have to reinstall Monster Hunter World because Icebourne was not downloaded at all and I had to figure out how to get it back, but I just decided to reinstall and everything works now. I'll just chalk that up to me distrohopping to Fedora because I've had a lot of issues with my previous OS
EAC is a pain
It's a pain and I wish I did some research of the game before buying it. It's a huge possibility that I'll refund the game because the Devs are being silent about enabling Linux Support on EAC even though EAC supports Linux.
If you see this post, do not buy New World.
I know I can solve the issue by Dual-Booting but Windows has already fucked with Grub a couple of times and I don't want to fix Grub again.
Difficult to start up
I’ve had to uninstall the game a few time to get it to launch properly but this is a constant thing, I even went ahead and tried to use different versions of Proton to make it work, even the GE versions. After I turn off my computer and turn it back on, OSRS won’t start which is a shame, I have to uninstall and reinstall it so I can have a chance of it working. When it works, the client works great with practically no issue whatsoever, but I’m tired of having to reinstall it. I’ll just link RuneLite to Steam since RuneLite works great with no issue whatsoever.
It runs native and that's amazing
Never expected the devs to make a Native version of the game. I thought they would just have Proton-Support and leave it at that. Actually amazing that they took the time to make a Native port of it and I only found out about it when I went back to this site and it was marked native. I reinstalled the game and it has no issue whatsoever. Praise this game and it's devs
