Works out of the box. Good performance too

just a touch better than native

Constant crashes on loading in new areas without zink
As mentioned in my previous contribution, the game would sometimes crash when loading in new areas (climbing on ladders, opening doors/hatches), taking either Wayland/X11 with it or outright freezing the whole PC. Well, at some point this crash would happen 100% of the time in a certain spot, making it impossible to progress. Turns out it was a mesa driver issue, using the zink launch option fixed it for good!
Game crashes at the beginning of chapter 1 when you lean down to get the letter from the crack with 100% consitency. Tried Proton 9, Experimental, GE 9.7, same with all.

I completed game, all fine
I have fps drop on 0 level (prologue). FPS drop to 30, But i read steam forum and same on Windows as well. It is no Linux or proton issue, it is generic game issue on all OS. Do not worry, lags only on game beginning

Le jeu marche super bien aucun soucis, cependant il est bloqué à 60 fps même lorsque l'on tente de modifié la synchro vertical ou d'un coup on a + de 60 fps, au bout de quelque seconde le jeu la redésactive et nous rebride à 60...
60fps max

Textures will occasionally pop-in when going around corners or moving quickly. This appears to be caused by proton not creating the directories the game uses for texture caching. You can resolve this by manually creating 2 directories in the compatdata folder on the drive you have the game installed. In your steam folder the path should be
/steamapps/compatdata/350080/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/
then create 2 folders MachineGames/Wolfenstein The Old Blood
. If done correctly next time the game launches 2 bin files should be in the directory. This resolved the issue for me without the use of launch options.
Aside from the minor issue of the texture pop-in it runs perfectly at ultra settings, but does require manually creating 2 directories in order for texture caching to work correctly.
It just works
Game was stuck using the gamepad as mouse, and I was unable to switch it back to controller. However, I left the game alone for about two weeks, and it was fixed!

Works perfectly out of the box!
Very fun game, I was able to finish the main story and all the nightmare levels without any trouble! Way more stable on Linux than Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus...

10 W

Boots up just the same as it would on any other PC or console. It's as simple as starting the game through steam and that's the end of it.
Flawless experience. No tinkering needed.

Very minor artifacts for the wolfenstein logo and text only on the loading screen
I've completed the game without issues using Proton 8.0-3. Great performance.

20-30 fps regardless of how I tweak the graphics settings. id5tweaker does nothing.
No amount of switching Proton versions or id5tweaking will get this game to run above 22 fps in game.
Runs perfectly out of the box. Texture streaming is a bit buggy, but it's a problem of id tech engine, not a proton/wine-specific issue.
Also works with id5tweaker, so you can have fps cap unlocked without problems
have fun linux & steam deck gamers :D
Finished game without issues

Works very nicely ootb
Just works. Got better fps than was getting in Windows.
The game works flawlessly out of the box, and even better with the id5 Tweaker mod. Make sure to use the launch option listed here.

I used id5 Tweaker to remove the 60fps framerate cap.

once again guns go brrr hehe
40fps at 40hz. 4-5h of gameplay.
I seemed to have a problem with object pop in when turning quickly. It didnt happen often but it was obvious when it did.
Works out of the box
flawless

Adjusting any volume causes the game to freeze, its nearly unplayable.
Adjusting the volume causes the game to freeze for 10 seconds.
