Works great but need to downgrade proton to fix the mouse cursor ingame. Use my launch settings to fix the UI scale on higher resolutions
gamescope --backend=sdl -w 2560 -h 1080 -W 3440 -H 1440 -b -f -F fsr -- %command%
The game will run at 500FPS if you don't lock it, funny devs put the fps lock setting in "options, Advanced graphics".
Unlilke The lord of the Rings Online, you cannot scale the UI so you'll have to rely on gamescope to make the text readable, You could just play the game at a lower resolution but it does look blurry.
Run the game at native resolution while rendering the game at a lower one, not only this but you'll be able to add FSR to fix the blurriness of it, all this using the launch options you see on top check all of this here: .
Remember to change it with your own dsplay resolution

My previous report mentioned having to use an older version of Proton to avoid the mouse cursor staying in the center of the screen when switching to action camera. I decided to try the newest GE-Proton (9-22 at the time of writing this) and it works great with no issue.

Make sure you run it on 6.3-8 or you will have an issue with the mouse not disappearing after going into action camera mode.

Mouse icon would`t hide(minor)
Same as windows

If I launch the game with a YouTube video playing in FreeTube, the game won't have audio. Pausing the video before I launch the game makes it work perfectly.
It's playable by default with the latest Proton, but as others have said, there's an issue with the mouse cursor remaining visible when going into the action camera mode ("T" by default). If you don't mind this, then you're good. If it bothers you, just switch to an older version of Proton (I found success with 6.3.8, as was recommended) and it'll work perfectly.

Set Proton version to 6.3-8 to avoid mouselook issues. Excellent performance, seems smoother than Windows.

Using Proton 6.3-8 avoids the double cursor and jumping camera while using mouselook that newer Proton versions have. Plays great!
newer proton versions create problems with mouse-view (seems to create duplicate movement information, second cursor is displayed)
Steam overlay should be disabled, as switching can cause crashes. installs and starts fine with proton-experimental, but if you see the normal mouse cursor when mouse-view is activated, roll back to an older version (for me it was 6.3-8)
Didn't work with proton 8.0-1

Camera goes to top down view or bottom up view if I'm in windowed mode. This does not affect windowed full screen mode.
This game only seems to work well with Proton 4.2-9. Initially the launcher would launch but fail upon attempting to download updates. This was fixed by selecting the arrow with a drop down menu in the game launcher and clicking Options>Repair>Repair. After the game files were repaired the game worked fine. The game previously worked with Proton 7.0-4 with the same camera issues but now the launcher won't launch.
10/10 experience so far. I've read that some players face some updating issues but that wasn't the case for me.
The game worked fine and then failed to update repeatedly. I fixed this by doing a repair which re-downloaded the entire game and it works fine since.
Not updating succesfully
It installed and has worked in the past but now gives an error and will not finish an update. "Unable to decrypt and de-serialize the data downloaded from the server" I tried several versions of proton but nothing worked.
Runs Great, Here are recommended launch options: -skiprawdownload -nosplash Helps prevent infinity splash/loading screens.
It runs great, even I may dare say, better than Windows (at least on my Hardware)
Works out of the box.
Worked out of the box, including DDO Store

only works on "Proton 4.2-9" (but i still love it)
only works on "Proton 4.2-9"
"Proton 4.2-9" run DDO on DX9 (it be cool run it on DX11)
With Steam package version 1618256785, DDO store now launches in default browser.
Steam API v020 and Steam package version 1618256785 now allows the DDO Store to launch in the default browser.
Currently using XFCE 4.16 and Proton 6.3-2.
DDO Store doesn't launch with the external browser
works ok, did set all graphic settings to maximum (Ultra or high) Looked ok in the started area.
akamai netsession did not install, launcher links seem to not work
PVP not tested It was network laggy on the server i tested, but not sure if the server or steam related.
Not well-versed in graphics or audio, but everything seemed to work.
runs without any problems, the biggest downside is that akamai netsession didnt install (no surprise) and therefore the update took ages
No problems at all while playing. Launcher shows minor graphical bugs (font size?).

Downloaded Game from Main website Installed Via Steam Non Game.
Works out of the box with Proton 5.0-5. No issues with in-game store or enhancement tabs as per earlier reviews.
Confirmed the ability to make purchases in the in-game store and assign enhancement points. Game works flawlessly so far and performs very well. Korthos Island (beginner zone) maintains 120FPS easily, but haven't seen later zones yet.
Everything works, even shop opens and you are able to make purchases. Using Proton 4.11-11
Crashed or froze every few hours. Could be to Alt+Tab a lot. Was left in background for some time as well.
Worked perfectly out of the box

Selected high resolution graphics Selected NO for use DirectX 11 In games selected DirectX 10, Seemed little difference from DX9 Everything ran and played well. In game store did not work as reported by others.

Basic gameplay functions are ok. As you level up though you cannot use the Enhancement tab on your character (blacked out / fails to load). Only found this out after a while playing.

Works almost perfectly under 4.2-4. In game Video Settings Detection worked with my setup. Only issue I had was when I tried to use the in game help. It tried to take me to an external website which caused game to black-screen and freeze.

The game itself runs perfectly and smootly, but crashes when open ddo store.

Proton Beta (3.16-9) has the fewest issues others have issues with shutting game down, occasional crashes, and the store. Don't use the external store setting -- only issue I have with 3.16-9). I have cromium don't know if other browsers would have issues. Runs Great.

Runs flawlessly since proton 4.2

Perfect so far, maybe takes a bit longer to load some models, but not sure

Store wouldn't open in a browser from the character selection page.
