Honestly great experience out of the box.

Mapped controller to match the keyboard layout that RPG Maker games use: mapped D-pad for arrow keys, mapped A button to spacebar, mapped B button to Esc, mapped X button to Shift. In addition, there's a scene in this game which uses W & D additionally, so I mapped those to R1 and R2.

Runs swimmingly
When in windowed mode, screen flickered when a desktop notification was triggered

It worked perfectly natively.

Needed to rebind a letter on the keyboard in one scene. Cant say without spoilering.
Some language bugs and the puzzle wasnt working properly. But it might be just a bug in the game itself.
Great game for the Deck, after changing the control layout it was a very pleasant experience. No concerns at all with the battery usage.
Changed the controller layout to the recommended community one
Had to assign F7 to a back grip button to change the language of the game
runs great
Judging by Steam discussions F1 must invoke a minimal settings menu. For me F1 invokes key binding menu. Maybe it's a Proton issue. Not a big though cause gameplay is simple and there's not much to customize
After disconnecting my AirPods and connecting again, there was a lot of crackling noise, had to reboot the game.
Only weird thing for me was the game was locked at 40 fps by default, messing with the Deck's performance settings didn't allow me to unlock 60 fps, but it was still great at 40.

Controls with the left joystick to move on the default settings and controls well in general. No performance issues. Tried it at 60hz/60fps and also 40hz/40fps and no issues on either
Used SteamTinkerLaunch to force the game to use the Steam Linux Runtime, otherwise it would crash on load
Force the Steam Linux Runtime using a tool like SteamTinkerLaunch to fix native release crashing on load

(GOG version) Works well
Played GOG version with Proton 7.0-1.

Changing to 6.21-GE-2 fixed the problem.
The game went into windowed screen showing a weird tv glitch visual after the sigmund corp. machine activated. This also happened when i teleported to a different environment using a memento. I switched to to the latest build of GloriousEggroll and it seems like the problem went away!
So the game works absolutely amazing on the proton-GE build! (so far :P)
Runs great on proton and native
Native, but be sure to stick with either native or Proton due to saves
Saves not compatible between Linux and Windows versions

Native

Game works native and on Proton out of the box.
