I fixed the controller issue by using Proton-7.0rc2-GE-1 by Glorious Eggroll. Now the game works amazing and i haven't seen any issues yet.
Input:Drifting, Inaccuracy, Lag
the controller didn't work, every button did something random, i couldn't even use the arrows/thumbsticks. I fixed this by switching proton build

The game runs fantastic on the default proton build.
Audio:Crackling
The audio got pretty messed up a few times but i was playing on the steam link so it might be possible that proton didn't cause this problem, maybe it was a steam link bug.

To the Moon
Customizations:Custom Proton
Changing to 6.21-GE-2 fixed the problem.
The game went into windowed screen showing a weird tv glitch visual after the sigmund corp. machine activated. This also happened when i teleported to a different environment using a memento. I switched to to the latest build of GloriousEggroll and it seems like the problem went away!
So the game works absolutely amazing on the proton-GE build! (so far :P)
