Enable Proton for the game and change the controller layout, that's all you need.
For some reason, the achievement didn't unlock after trying several times. Had to replay the ending on my PC (Windows) and it unlocked that way.
With the controller community layout you won't have a problem.
Not much to add to other reviews, works without tinkering, didn't feel worth it to mess with performance options.
Due to the launcher, you need Mouse control before actually open the game. Either change each time to the Keyboard and Mouse mapping, or, for comfort, customize the official controller layout and use the right trackpad as mouse movement and Back Buttons (L4/L5/R4/R5) as mouse left click.
Also for extra comfort, I mapped L3 (left joystick click) to L4 (top left back button) to avoid stress on the joystick for stealth in-game, and also mapped L5 (bottom left back button) to keyboard F5 for quick saves.
40hz refresh rate + 40 fps lock
Need to have mouse controls to handle the launcher for graphic options and launching the game.
Enable Right Trackpad as mouse to manage the launcher everytime you launch the game. Also mapped L4/R4 back grip buttons to L3/R3 for stealth and camera perspective, L5 to Keyboard F5 for quick-saves and R5 to mouse left click.
40 FPS & refresh rate cap, for 10W, very good battery life.
After disconnecting my AirPods and connecting again, there was a lot of crackling noise, had to reboot the game.
Only weird thing for me was the game was locked at 40 fps by default, messing with the Deck's performance settings didn't allow me to unlock 60 fps, but it was still great at 40.
Other than the single weird crash that got me to reinstall the game, everything else when butter smooth. Nice 4-5 hours of battery playing.
Steady 60 fps, but ran it capped at 40 fps to keep battery between 8-10W
After some hours playing, tried to re-open it after a break, got a Bugsplash window. Only "quick" solution I found was to reinstall the whole game. Worked again until I finished it.
As a side note, I read here that some people had to manually enable gamepad compatibility and some other troubleshooting with the Steam Common Redistributables. I didn't have the controller issue, worked out of the box, and probably had the Redistributables already installed from other games.
Docked performance: manually forced 1080p, uncapped FPS, ran steady at 80-90 fps, with peaks of 110 fps on cinematics.
